Even though the Challenges are somewhat toned down on this spinoff, it seems like people are getting hurt more than on the regular Challenge.

Aneesa can barely walk up a flight of stairs without requiring hospitalization. Why she keeps being called back to Challenges is beyond me.

This has been kind of a snooze so far. The stars aren't very interesting and the champs seem bored (other than Smashley doing her cuckoo routine as usual).

I will say that I thought the live action table hockey was brilliant. Has this been done anywhere else before? Dave & Buster's needs to add a room housing that, stat!

It was a sequel of sorts to the giant foosball from last time:

I think it's been an interesting season so far due to The Stars actually playing the game this season. I think Louise, Casper, Boobie, and Drake could have a chance to win the whole thing. They're not at all likable, but they're definitely contenders.

I was going to say basically the same thing: the Stars (or at least a handful of them) are beating the Champs at their own game. That said, it is a charity season they aren't playing as hard as they normally would and the way the selections are done sort of dumbs the game down. But it still does make it more interesting than watching the Champs walk over the Stars again.

A bit off topic, but Jenna and Zach are back together:

I wonder when they will announce details on the next season, Final Reckoning. I know there are leaks already out there. No real surprises in casting.

I enjoyed Shane talking about how famous he was last night.

Looks like there is a preview next week. Also it premiere on July 10.

He is more famous that some little manlet J-Lo fucked who was some sort of background dancer or stunt dancer. At least to me and everyone I know. I had never heard of him or rather knew who he was prior to this show. Once I looked him up I remember vaguely seeing the name in some J-Lo gossip type posts years ago but had no clue what he looked like or what he did.

I know. I made a thread for it. I posted that a few days ago.

I'm not fond of how the producers are clearly trying to get the Stars to the Final. Whenever a champ won MVP, they were given weak power plays, but whenever a star won MVP they were given amazing power plays.... I hope CT and Tony or Wes and Bobby can eliminate Casper and Louise.

Re: The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars (MTV) -- Series Thread

This season is CLEARLY showing that the producers are totally fixing the show in order to help the Stars. I mean it is so obvious that it is reaching Quiz show levels of producer interference in order to make the show more appealing or something. If the producers played it fair, then it would go just like the last 2 seasons where the Champs totally dominate and win.

I'm glad to see CT and Tony make it to The Final. I hope they can win. This Final looks a bit more challenging than past Champs vs. Stars/Pros finals at least according to the few snippets they showed in the preview for next week.

Also, I hope Kayla and Drake can unfold those frozen clothes really quickly and beat Casper and Louise.

I listened to great podcast interview with Wes last week that had some really great information about this season.
One thing that I found really interesting is that a lot of the strategy was taking place over text messaging since they get to keep their phones for this show. Also, a lot of people didn't stay at the hotel. They went home or went out at night.

Congratulations to Team Dad Bod on the big win last night! They were lucky that the last two challenges were in their wheelhouse eating and puzzles. That was probably the best final in the Champs Vs. series so far. Louise must do a lot of sprint/short distance training, because she gassed out much quicker than I thought she would. It looks like there is a Champs vs Stars reunion next week and then The Challenge: Final Reckoning starts on July 10th.

Yeah, good for CT. He has always been one of my favorites way back to the early days.

I would love to see him get back into shape and really put some work into it. It's crazy how big he is compared to how lean he once was. He almost looks like an entirely different person. But he does act like a different person too in a lot of ways.

I agree with lwhy? as this was easily the best final in several seasons and I would put that up against the last few seasons of the regular Challenge which have been very disappointing.

So why did Louise and Caspar have a penalty at the beginning of the final? I missed that somehow. I like Louise a lot but Caspar came off as a douche the entire show, even though so many were against him. He never could get the underdog love since he was so douchey.

Tony was MVP and his Power Play was Sabotage. He was able to give any team a two minute penalty and he chose Casper and Louise.

Also, CT looks to have lost some weight in the promos for The Final Reckoning.

Damn you Tony! I actually enjoyed seeing you win! Like one of your past significant others you have won me over despite knowing you will surely cheat on me in the near future. But for now, it’s love.

And CT even with a bad back was a machine. Even more impressive is how good he is in the mental challenges as well.

Also agree the final challenge was a good one for a “Stars” charity season.

Wes said on Twitter that the power play also was used in the eating portion as they got 2 extra bowls of fish guts/juice to drink.

Wes picked the worst food possible. Almost like he was trying to throw it. That confused me.

Much improved finale and a great come from behind for CT and Tony. Looking forward to the regular season.

He showed a bit of his old self with TO early in the season, after which TO self-evicted.

I'm trying to watch the reunion and CT and Smashley's microphones sound horrible. CT looks like he's in much better shape now.

Plus Smashley sounded like she was screeching the entire time, which is probably more or less true. I cannot imagine having to spend spend any amount of time in her presence.

The amazing thing is she was soooo much more annoying on her time on The Real World. She is crazy and extremely obnoxious. Guess that's why they keep bringing her back.

I didn't get the reason why CT got pissed and suddenly left. I heard him say something about Dads who take care of their kids or whatever when Momma was in a rant but none of it really made a lot of sense.

Mize was a little better on this reunion but I still wish they would let TJ do all the Challenge and reunion shows. He must not be comfortable doing a reunion show since I don't think he has ever done one.
