Debut, for sure, it had huge NFL lead-ins initially. The ratings dropped by 50% when that stopped.

9-1-1 had a higher average last season compared to The Orville. Orville did have a higher rated premiere episode though.

I binged watched S1 on Hulu. I'm not sure what to make of this show. It lost alot of steam throughout the season. I won't be watching it as it airs, that's for sure.

I really liked S1.
It managed to capture a lot of the spirit of fun of the original Roddenberry series.

I thought it was a big hit for Fox. Those ratings don't look so hot though. I really hope it can find an audience again and hopefully pick up a few and hold steady. Otherwise S2 might be it's last.

I believe The Orville will be given every chance. Fox is looking for a genre hook that brings in a different kind of audience. These type of shows also do very well in syndication and other markets.
