I’m through 2 episodes. The stabbing sequence in episode 2 was shocking.
Franklin has gone hardcore drug dealer now after just trying to make some money to help his family in season 1. |

I brushed up on the final couple episodes from S1 over the weekend and have watched episode 1 of S2. Will try to catch up this week - glad this show is back.

In Season 3 of Snowfall, crack cocaine is spreading like wildfire through Los Angeles. Local police fight to stem the tide, while Teddy works hard to make sure the flow of cocaine doesn’t stop. I read last month that Singleton wasn't going to direct an episode this year, but I wonder if his loss will mean this is the final season. The article I read described him as pretty hands on with the show.

Very surprised by the renewal. Looks like no bump was given for Season 3, which is currently airing. I’m just going to let it build up and binge. |

Another tidbit: Asked how long Snowfall could run, Andron answered, “We need five [seasons] to tell a story. If it gets more granular, it might be six.” |

Yeah, I haven't started watching this season yet either. Right now the FX show I'm catching up on is Fosse/Verdon.

Not sure who is watching this season but the past few episodes have simply been fantastic. This season is arguably the show's best. Season finale is next week.

I love this show but I don't feel like there's a whole lot to discuss. It's a pretty straightforward story and lacks some of the depth that a show like The Wire has.

Binged Seasons 2-4 in a week in anticipation of the Season 5 premiere next week (saw 1st season months ago), really good. Definitely not The Wire, but good writing and acting. S04E04 death was shocking and heartbreaking.

In season five of Snowfall, Franklin (Damson Idris) and family are rich beyond their wildest dreams and on the verge of having everything they've wanted as the ground begins to fall out from beneath their feet. The streets of South Central Los Angeles have never been so dangerous, but the biggest threat the family faces are each other as they try not to let greed, resentment and ego tear them all apart. It still seems crazy to me that barely anyone watches this show. I think many here on this forum would like it. I'm also surprised it has lasted 5 seasons. |
