Nothing is answered. Everything is answered. And then it ends. Series Finale.

I'll still watch it... I heard that Carrie Coon is gonna show us all 3 "B's" in this episode.

The show was definitely unique. I don't think any other series that I watched in recent years has simultaneously enthralled and frustrated me as much as this one. From the opening episode I disliked so many aspects of it but felt compelled to keep watching due to some great character moments ....regardless of the sheer stupidity of Lindelof's writing & showrunning. This third season almost makes Lost season 6 look like stellar TV.
Fingers crossed that the finale is not nearly as hamfisted and unsatisfying as these last few episodes leading up to it have been.

I was not expecting that to be so oddly satisfying. If you choose to believe Nora's story then there is both an answer to the big mystery and closure. It requires a leap of faith....but I guess that's the point of the show.

Yeah, I was expecting answers regarding all the crazy stuff happening to Kevin, but no answers regarding the Departure. Instead it was the opposite.

Did I called it?
From last week's episode thread:
Or not? I'm not sure.
It didn't explain WHY people departures/vanished. The way they showed seems to me that there are two dimensional space. I guess I'm bit confused.
From last week's episode thread:
That penis security check got me lol'ed.
When I first watched Leftovers, I had feeling that the characters we saw on show are ones that "vanished", not their love ones. The more episodes I watch and I feel like I'm watching "Lost".
When I watched Lost for the first time, I first thought the people on island are already dead. After couple episodes over 6 years, I get more confusing with my theory as it grew more different theories about it. I felt same with Leftovers now...

It was better than I thought it would be.
I didn't expect a reason for the departure, but I did want some explanations for the stuff Kevin went through, and all the other stuff that happened.
I guess we have to just accept that Nora went through and there's an actual machine made that can send people back and forth between the universes.
And Laurie didn't die I guess. Ok.
Carrie Coon's got a nice little body.

You don't HAVE to accept it. She could have backed out and been lying. They left it vague by not showing any of her story so you can go either way with your personal interpretation.

I get that there was a whole lot of symbolism about sin, but I guess I'm too dense to get what it had to do with the plot.
We got absolutely NO explanation into any of the weird shit that went down in Miracle.
The only really satisfying part of this finale is knowing that Nora's family are probably the only people that are kind of happy on the other side because they all had each other, minus only one. Everyone else on that side was alone (except for the cast of Perfect Strangers).
The whole finale really just came down to exposition. Nora "told" us what happened. I felt like I was watching someone give me a Monday morning synopsis of the finale.

I was satisfied with the ending. I too thought that this was the other side and Kevin was visiting again to see Nora after her event. Then I realized that the last episode when he crossed over they said he could not return. Loved how they set up with the people we thought that died last episode were the only ones in this episode other than the flashback with Matt.
Glad they didn't try to explain the departure as no matter what they wrote it would not be satisfying.

I saw the finale. Interesting thing is that the only episode I've ever seen prior, was the first episode when it began. I ditched it since it really didn't gel for me, and I decided not to watch a few more after. And after reading most people's comments, I'm kind of glad I didn't catch this show, as it sounds like I would have been frustrated for just about all of it. But this is the first (and probably last) time I've ever seen a show's first and last episode's when they first premiered.

I thought the finale was great. When all is said and done, it comes down to do you believe Nora's story or not. A few of examples of sin/lying peppered in (Kevin, the nun) along with Nora's predisposition for doing so, so who knows?
Personally, I don't know if I believe her or not, but I also don't think that's the point. Having the final goodbye's between Nora/Matt be about Mad Libs was perfect.
We got some closure on some of the other characters - though Laurie is the only one we actually see. All in all, a very satisfying finale.

That gave viewers more closure than I ever expected. I was totally ready for the series to end by piling on even more mysteries.

The stuff with them was so moving and well done, that I didn't even wonder about all the mysteries that didn't get resolved.

Hell I want a show of the 2% crossing over and how the adapted. Was it a free for all, did society persist or did it have to be fought for?
