Now we're cooking. This episode got me very interested again.

The cop questioning a very guilty looking/sounding Sy at his office was a nice call-back to the movie where Marge questioned Jerry.

Back in the groove.

I enjoy the heck out of this show, except...

The one problem with the show being set in my neck of the woods is that I notice things like the fact that there is no way Stussy would make a daily 150 mile round trip commute from a home in Eden Prairie to offices in St Cloud. Given traffic and weather on a bad day that drive could take up to two hours each way.

Two Lebowski nods in that isn't the preferred nomenclature and Moe having to mention war buddies/sacrifice so Walter like.

Although we know he's not too bright, I can't imagine Ray would be so dumb as to commit a Class I Felony in a bank on camera! As an officer of the court, how could he possibly think he wouldn't get picked up in 5 minutes??

I know what you mean! I'm always rolling my eyes when I watch Billions and people just breeze into lower Manhattan from Westport, CT likes it's the next town over. The lead even pops down to Yonkers to get take out pizza.

Only things I could think of is that maybe he thought no way his brother deals with this through the police. Also the bank manager broke all the protocols, so maybe he thinks the bank makes good on the loss of 10K for his brother to avoid the embarrassment and loss of business? I'm reaching...

I think this is close. As we saw, it was Sy who reported the incident AND handled it afterward.

Really? Billions is the show you have a problem with? How about The Blacklist? They're headquartered in DC, yet they can be anywhere on the eastern seaboard in 20 minutes or less! Fringe was one that bothered me too: apparently Boston and Manhattan are only 10 minutes apart by car!

I was pretty worried about this season after the first two lackluster episodes, but these last two have been great. And we finally have an actual reason why Ewan McGregor is playing both brothers parts.

I still get chills when the Fargo theme unexpectedly makes an appearance in an episode.

Is menstruation going to be an integral part of this season? Because I can do without that recurrent theme.

The weird thing is McGregor stated that he would only sign on if he could play both brothers. Does that mean the brothers weren't originally supposed to be twins and there was never a scene written with Ray pretending to be Emmit?

And ironically, this is the first season that isn't a period piece.

The brothers aren't twins, making it baffling as to why they are being played by the same person (given that the actor playing the multiple parts isn't Peter Sellers, Mike Myers or Eddie Murphy).

Re: Fargo (S3E04) -- "The Narrow Escape Problem" -- 5/10/17

Loved Billy Bob doing Peter and The Wolf. As a young kid I had an album that I would play frequently that had pretty much those exact words setting up the music that followed. Really brought back memories.

I guess those going on about how they are not twins don't know a few of the families I do. Families where if the bothers didn't have different body and hair styles, they would be totally indistinguishable from each other despite the couple years in age difference. And when you look at pictures of their father at their age, they are typically indistinguishable from each brother if you remove the elements that make it clear the picture was taken 20 or so years prior.

And personally, now that it's been established, I don't every need to see or hear Varga purging again. And certainly don't need to see anymore of those teeth than we do every time he talks.

I'm not placing it anywhere need S1 or S2, but after initially feeling differently, Gloria has become on of my favorite characters from any of these seasons. It's awesome how they keep showing her never getting picked up by sensors.

How is that possible? Ray shaves his moustache and puts on a wig and he's totally mistaken for Emmit by appearance, mannerisms and voice... and yet they're not supposed to be twins? I assumed they were and didn't even pay attention whether anyone called them twins in the show.

This was a good episode.

Liked the Peter and the Wolf overtone and Billy Bob doing the intro.

I am happy to see that Sy's little temper tantrum with his truck is not going by unnoticed and investigated.

This feels like the pieces are starting to come together, which makes the show more enjoyable to watch.

I wonder how they will tie in her not being picked up by sensors - into something that breaks the case / saves her life / or some super natural tie in (ha ha)

I believe that the motion sensor fails and her aversion to technology/social media and the UFO tie together
