Any backlog of shows that you are postponing to summer to watch?
Are there any shows that you simply had no time to add to your viewing schedule this season and are hoping to catch up with this summer?
Have you saved every episode to your DVR or are aiming to watch it later on Hulu/Netflix or a network app to catch when you have the time?
Same thing applies to Netflix, Hulu or Amazon originals that have premiered, but you simply have no time to watch it?
Here's mine that I can think of:
Outlander -- I simply had no time to keep up with this weekly. Season 3 premieres in the Fall. I know I can watch it on the Starz app and catch up.
13 Reasons Why
Blue Bloods
Shadowhunters
Stitchers
Quantico
The Good Fight
Girlboss
The Americans
Shameless
Empire -- I only watched the premiere
Superstore
Star
Bosch -- current season (only saw premiere)
The Man in the High Castle
The Blacklist: Redemption
Rosewood
American Crime
Silicon Valley
NCIS Los Angeles and New Orleans
Billions season 2
Homeland
Modern Family
The Handmaid's Tale
Shark Tank
Legion (only saw 2 episodes, but probably need to re-watch)
Preacher
Chance
Shut Eye
12 Monkeys season 2
The Good Place
Scorpion
Sneaky Pete
Goliath
Luke Cage
Travelers
The OA
Frontier
Bloodline
The Crown
The Get Down
The Expanse
The Magicians
I know there's a few more that I'm forgetting. Some I have only watched a couple of episodes and others I have not even seen the current season, but have it on the DVR or the ability to legally stream it.
What about the rest of you? I'm going on vacation overseas for almost 1 month starting at the end of May, so I won't be able to even attempt anything until mid June. Hopefully I have the current season of stuff that I have keeping up with cleared out from the DVR.

I did not deliberately plan on watching it in the summer, but it is looking like Riverdale will be a weekend binge sometime over the next few months. I only got through the first 5 eps and now plan to watch the remaining episodes all at once.

And as it turns out, if the writer's strike happens, you may need backlog to carry into Fall.
I've held back on "The Magicians" because I kind of wonder if Syfy will do what they did last time, and after a delay post the uncensored episodes.

Holy cow! I couldn't have that much on my plate!
I still have a backlog of Jane the Virgin--about a year and a half.
And about six hours of the new 24 is still sitting on my DVR...eventually hope to get around to it...

Actually about 16 on that list are streaming shows that I'm interested in seeing/or have sampled some, but haven't finished. I'd like to watch them at some point, but yeah it's a lot and probably more than reasonably possible to view this summer.
Modern Family I feel like I'm over that show. It's not really that funny anymore, but I feel like I should try to at least finish the current season.

Just Handmaid's Tale, Designated Survivor, The Good Fight, and perhaps start something I've yet to watch, like Veep.

I'll save you some time. The most recent seasons of Shadowhunters, Stitchers and Quantico are largely garbage and not worth the effort on a crowded TV schedule.

I've cut down my in-season watches enough to keep current with them all. I still have a number of my binge list, including Outlander (don't have STARZ), Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, etc.

Taboo (I got about half way and decided I needed to binge it) and Into the Badlands.
Someday I will get back to The Americans (only watched the first season) and will eventually get around to Iron Fist. The reviews have been mixed and Luke Cage finished so weakly that I'm just not that excited to jump into another Marvel Netflix series.
I also need to track down Season 2 of Fargo (and then 3 -- decided I would wait).

I coach my daughter's softball in the spring, so this is the time I usually get backed up and lose control of the DVR..
Here's my to do list:
The Good Fight
The Americans will prob have 3-5 eps left
Bosch -, 3 eps in, but might finish by June 1 as I love this show
The Handmaid's Tale
Sneaky Pete
Iron Fist - 8 eps in but stalled.. will finish in the summer
The Expanse - 5 eps left
Designated Survivor - will prob have 5 eps left
Wentworth - halfway through the series run of neftlix, will chip away more in the summer
might try the get-down, watched 2 eps, but now that the whole season is up, might give another shot
Might give American Gods a crack
Keep chipping away at Veep, 2 seasons behind

We're taking the opposite route and suspending Hulu and Netflix for the summer (we have Prime and will stay away, and we have no cable or TV sports interest) in an effort to spend more of the summer outside and in books as a family.
Our oldest goes to Kindergarten this fall and she wants to have more reading skills before she gets there. If we're all doing less "sucking from the glass teat," as Stephen King puts it, maybe we can help her all that much more.
Even if we do watch something, we already own so many great movies on Blu-ray and DVD, we're not going to go content hungry.

Bosch - 3 episodes into season 3 but I may wait a bit until I can binge the rest

Maybe Luckie Louie and the Simpsons.
Sucks that all the shows I was watching ended in April and May and now there is nothing to watch.
Summer is so boring and depressing.

Nope. If I fall more than 3 episodes behind on shows I currently watch, I conclude that I'm not interested enough, and let it go.
After all, it's just TV

My summer will be used to
watch the first season of Stranger Things
finish This Is Us (have 6 eps left)
That's all the catch-up... summer's really about new Big Brother & Game of Thrones!

I have all but one episode of Prison Break recorded. They pre-empted episode 7 for severe weather coverage, so I got an hour of that instead. I'd have to watch that episode online. I carefully peeked in the threads here to see if it was worth it and got the impression the season was not too great. Still, it has to be better than any show with a panel of judges.

I'll be lucky if I get to the following:
The Affair, Masters of Sex, Homeland - latest season
Girls - latest season
Veep - latest season
Bloodline - seasons 2,3
Halt and Catch Fire - latest season
Master of None - seasons 1,2

Re: Any backlog of shows that you are postponing to summer to watch?
Definitely finishing this summer:
The Leftovers (Season 3)
Damages (Season 4 and 5)
Debating whether I should get back into these shows I bailed on:
House of Cards (Season 3, 4, 5)
Orphan Black (Season 3, 4, 5)
Shows I am debating on whether to start:
Orange is the New Black
The Crown
OA
Old shows that are Guilty Pleasure:
Party of Five
The Leftovers (Season 3)
Damages (Season 4 and 5)

Re: Any backlog of shows that you are postponing to summer to watch?
I don't see how anyone is not backlogged these days. There are simply too many shows out there to watch them all. I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan and still haven't had time to crack into three seasons of Better Call Saul. Bloodlines season 3 is next for me.
BTW, if you love Breaking Bad, I highly recommend Sneaky Pete. Cranston was awesome in this. The show starts out slow, but once it gets going, it's a thrill ride!

Pretty much a ton of Netflix shows, more than 10, that I've put off - now that the regular seasons of most broadcast shows are over, I can jump into the Netflix stuff.

We usually use the weekend to watch or re-watch any shows from the week we missed or want to see again. The only show I accumulated was Supergirl. I was on the fence as to whether or not I wanted to stick with it due to a precipitous drop in quality. I decided to scrap it and erase the episodes.

The Leftovers
I'm waiting until most of Twin Peaks is on Showtime before subscribing and binging.
