Pretty sure that's about them traveling back to the beach community to get that group of women (and their weapons cache) to join them, and then showing the cache to the junkyard gang to get them fully on board.

What happened to Greg Nicotero's participation? Wasn't he a producer and they certainly used to credit him for his effects?

Got to admit, that Negan/Sasha scene was pretty good...

He's still involved. He even directed an episode a few weeks back.

And how are all these communities in convenient proximity of each other? And why didn't kill Xander Berkeley, he always seemed like such a liability. Sometimes logic on this show befuddles me...

Sasha is one of the most beautiful women on television. I'd watch her read a phone book.

I'm still not sure I buy the Negan character---he's so over the top that it seems like somebody would have killed him by now, either outsiders or his own people.

be careful what you wish for, that is likely the season finale but it will probably end with a cliffhanger as she stops after the letter Y

You are an optimist. I think we would have entire episodes of her just reading one letter 26 times. Then, she would randomly start reading a foreign alphabet for three episodes. Then we'd have a 4 month break before she came back to resume with the letter "K".

Seriously though, this is what passes for a decent-to-good episode. It proves you can have a good episode where not much happens action-wise.

I was just thinking about this. Though I haven't been watching, I am curious to see where Rick and his little buddy go.

How much further have the comics gone? We're in these communities for two or three seasons now. In a quick sentence or two, where do the comics go from here?

Re: The Walking Dead (S7E15) -- "Something They Need" -- 3/26/17

Sasha went in to kill Negan and didn't care if she died in the process. She has a knife and Negan didn't have that big an advantage - he still has to wind up with a swing could've been stabbed twice in the leg/crotch area by then. Sasha was willing to die anyway, but did nothing. This is like Carl going to kill Negan - has him in his sites and does nothing. WTF?

All Sasha did was put Negan's defensive up and now he knows Rick's group is up to something. And we get the BS line from Jesus "I wish I would've tried harder to stop them". Fuck off - you didn't try at all... you just let them go.

Once again, the logic these characters are given is ridiculous.

Didn't think this was going to be a good episode after last weeks turd but it was great. Certain scenes played out just like the comic that I knew were coming and turned out good. One zombie looked like a monster guy on Legion. I'm sure it wasn't done on purpose though. Really loved Sasha and Negan scenes.

It's been about 64 issues since the equivalent event of the season opener. Presently:

Spoiler:
They're still at Alexandria and the hilltop, but with a time jump of 2 years after a conflict gets resolved.

Yeah, that plot logic was a bit of a stretch.

I thought it was a good episode. Nothing surprising happened from what I was expecting. I'm sure the first shots of the war will be fired next week.

I'm really tired of Into the Badlands being shoved down our throats while shows like Better Call Saul are buried on Mon night at 10pm. AMC annoys me with that call.

Yeah, once she showed up that gave Negan reason to think that they weren't going to lay down anymore even though she tried to convince him it was just her with the Rick is "your bitch" line.

At first I thought that of Jesus as well but he was trying to convince them not to do it but thought he had time until the Saviors showed up and that was when Sasha and Rosita decided to move up the time for the mission and left right then.

Re: The Walking Dead (S7E15) -- "Something They Need" -- 3/26/17

WTF was all of that nonsense with Rick & Co. using dynamite, snipers, brute force to take the guns away?!?!

Now Rick is just like the Saviors! You have something we don't have, and since you are weaker than us we will just strong arm you and take it.

Oh.. and we are going to take every single gun and as a result will leave an entire camp of old and young women utterly defenseless from zombies, animals, raiders, Saviors, etc..

Oh.. and that dynamite we used to scare you off - just alerted every zombie, Savior, and scavenger in the area. You used to be safe and 'hidden' but now people know where you are (too bad we just stole all your guns: sorry about all that rape, robbery, human trafficking, and death we just exposed you to).

Maybe we should have saved that dynamite to use on the Saviors camp instead - maybe tied it to Sasha's chest and she could have suicide bombed the Saviors place.

But honestly, There was ZERO negotiations or attempt to bring the women on board. They just start pointing guns, taking hostages, and blowing stuff up. I would have thought they would send in the girl who has been there to try to broker a deal, offer up some sympathy, talk about joining the larger group (you could have some people divided) - and then there is some give and take and maybe a play into an ethically "gray" area where things are 'borrowed' in the middle of the night and half the group goes off with Rick..

But outright strong arm tactics are so out of character, and lazy writing to shove this pivotal moment into the last 10 minutes of the show.

Well, they did send her in but for some reason Rick gave her like a 5 minute deadline to get them to agree to talk. Once the deadline passed, she told them forget it, it's too late.
