I gave up on the Netflix Marvel shows after The Defenders. There's too much good TV to watch these days.

I generally like Netflix Marvel better than Berlanti's CW DC Arrowverse.
And the main complaints put against Iron First S1 have shown to be corrected within Defenders but even more so in Luke Cage S2 where Iron Fist's cameo became one of the highlights of the season as the actor as settled into the role and seems much more natural with his choreography now that he's been given proper time to train and practice.

Hm. So now that each of The Defenders has had two solo seasons, wondering where we go from here. I know we're getting a 2nd season of The Punisher and 3rd season of Dardevil, but I wonder if we've already seen the last of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and now Iron Fist.

Jessica Jones was renewed. Luke Cage hasn't been yet, but there has been a writers room working on Season 3.

I didn't hate season 1 like many. Danny was whiny and annoying at 1st, but I think the character grew as the season progressed.
Trailer looks intriguing. I liked seeing Misty Knight in it. I'm optimistic that things will grow since the season 1 showrunner Scott Buck was replaced. I watched an interview with the new showrunner Raven Metzner, Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick during Comic Con and he seems to have a good grasp of the characters and where he wants to take this.

Still getting caught up on the Netflix Marvel shows...
I thought Iron Fist (the show) was fairly good. They did a good job of creating the world(s) in which Danny/Iron Fist lived. I liked the writing - mostly - and I thought the show had great atmosphere. There was a lot to like about Season 1.
However, Danny Rand was definitely the weak link in his own series. That was NOT the Danny Rand from the comics. In the comics he's naive to life in NYC, but mature and responsible all the same. He's focused, confident, and intent on doing the right thing. This, "Danny Rand," is immature, childlike, and occasionally whiny. Yes, he's got a strong sense of responsibility and wants to do the right thing, but he's got the emotional control of a 12 year old. That's NOT Danny Rand.
It was odd, too, to see Danny hook up with Colleen Wing, since he had a strong romantic relationship with Misty Knight in the comics. Granted, I'd go for Jessica Henwick, too, given the chance, but Simone Missick is pretty amazing. 😉
Making Ward Harold's son rather than his brother was a change that I thought worked well, and I thought the rest of the cast was fairly strong. Jessica Henwick was great as Colleen, and they wrote that character very well.
While it wasn't a bad show, Season 1 of Iron Fist wasn't as good as it should have been. It was good, but it didn't live up to it's full potential.
