THE HOUSE OF SECRETS AND LIES - With Jason's funeral around the corner, the Blossom family moves forward with last minute preparations - and a secret agenda. Meanwhile, Archie's (KJ Apa) attempt to refocus his energy on football comes to a halt when an opportunity to work with a new music mentor presents itself. Betty (Lili Reinhart) dives deeper into her investigation of Jason's death and unearths some dark revelations about her family. Elsewhere, after uncovering secrets about her own family, Veronica (Camila Mendes) forms an unlikely friendship with Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), who is having a tougher time with Jason's impending funeral than she lets on. Finally, Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) turns to Fred (Luke Perry) for help after receiving a cryptic message from the Southside Serpents. Cole Sprouse and Madchen Amick also star. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Ross Maxwell (#105). Original airdate 2/23/2017.

Lili Reinhart is quickly becoming a new crush. Madelaine Petsch is super attractive as well.

Cheryl's entrance into Jason's wake was very odd. Are they kind of hinting that they may have had some kind of incestuous relationship?

I really like her too.
I think this has to be the best shot teen drama ever. The colors are fantastic on this show.
They are really trying to make it look like one of the Coopers murdered Jason, but there are still eight episodes left so I think that's a red herring. Although, I wish Betty's mom was the murderer so we hopefully won't see her next season. I find that character and actress really grating.
Also, there was some good background information on the Blossoms. It's easy to see why Cheryl is the way she is after finding out more about her family.

Archie is on a completely different show than Jughead/Betty/Cheryl. Seems like Archie has the typical high school angst problems while everyone else is in a gothic/noir murder mystery. His storyline is completely disconnected from the others. They even threw in the random Pussycat band member. My theory is that Riverdale is this sleepy town where the problems are the ones Archie faces but Jughead is the narrator and writer and season 1 and the entire series is basically all in Judhead's imagination.

I'm thinking Jason was supposed to meet up with Polly. They were probably going to run away together and get married, but knew their parents would never allow because of the "blood feud" between the families.
Grandmother was creepy and threw down some knowledge!
Glad the Grundy storyline is over. It was rather cliche and boring.
I do like how they are giving each episode gives focus on a different character/family.
