I also liked how Barry pointed out he had better teachers than Wally does.
Also, Joe saying "You better be going to all your classes."
Had a hint of foreshadowing though when Joe was asked to choose between Barry and Wally.
Loved the smile Caitlin gave to Julian as the elevator doors closed.
Good episode.

As posted earlier, some can control when the power is active. They showed that Yorkin could even control the intensity. Caused it to be instantaneous in some uses (table, door, etc.) and then very slowly acting on iris.

Yes looking back on it he could control his powers but it is one of those intellectual diversions I find while watching these shows.

I could see Wally ending up on the Legends next season.

But from what I gathered, Barry wasn't in that particular timeline- it was Flashpoint where Joe didn't die.

There were six (seven?) metas from Flashpoint that regained their powers in the current timeline. Yorkin must have been one of them and been arrested while Barry was still in Flashpoint. At the end of this episode Julian says there is one more out there because all the other husks are accounted for.

I thought they made it clear Yorkin got his powers from Alchemy (Julian). Or was that one of the other recent lame on-offs?

I really liked Wally in this episode. Still think there are to many speedsters around so I would also be ok with him going to legends.

I loved the coffee scene where they were picking favorites.

What half siblings are you referring to? Do you mean step siblings?

well, yeah. either way, the "keeping it within the family", step siblings and potential future step siblings stuff just seems a little odd.
Geoff Johns is really getting his fascination with all this out of his system.

Agreed. Barry and Iris is kind of weird. They grew up together as siblings.

I think the show would retcon Barry having grown up with Iris if they could somehow detach that change from Joe's close relationship with Barry. It would have been better if Iris had been an estranged daughter during Barry's formative years.

But to be fair:
1. They established early on that Barry liked Iris. Like pre-coming to live with Joe.
2. Just because Joe thinks of him as a son that doesn't mean Iris thinks of him as a brother, or he thinks of her as a sister.
