I have 36 episodes of The 100. I recently deleted my Bates Motel backlog. I had around 28 of those. Once I get so far behind it seems like a chore to catch up. The only series I had bunch of eps of and actually caught up with is Walking Dead. I think it was 30 something. Everything else just keeps building up until eventual deletion.

I had 30+ eps of "Supernatural", but they're on Netflix, so I only have the current season. I have 30 or so episodes of "The Profit" (CNBC), but I finally started the process of catching up when the "Winter Break" started.

I stopped watching Full Frontal after the election, 5 eps there. Before I got Batman (1966) on blu ray I had 100+ episodes of that.

I usually pile up 30-40 eps of NCIS for my wife to binge on. Based on how often that show airs on USA, it only takes me about a week to do that. Then I wait a few weeks and do it all over again. For myself, if I see myself avoiding a show I've recorded, I say the heck with it and stop recording it. Life's too short.

I have every episode of Legends of Tomorrow on there. Started recording last year and just never got around to watching any yet...

Have had a full seasons of some shows on there till the summer when we can catch up. So depending on the show that is 20 to 24 episodes or so. Some shows are so low on the priority list they don't get watched until all the others have run their course.

I have about 35-40 episodes of M*A*S*H. AMC and Sundance have Marathons on Sunday and Monday mornings. I try to get through as many as I can through the week and then record more. I can't believe how well this show stands the test of time.

Wow, I thought I had a lot of backlog. The kids have over 100 Teen Titans Go episodes saved on their DVR, but those are only 15 minutes. For hour long shows I'm usually way behind on, say, the CW superhero shows, but once they show up on Netflix I delete them because I run out of space really quickly, plus I will never catch up if I'm behind more than a season.

I do the same with a few shows that I wait until summer to watch or I have small marathons where I watch 3 to 5 episodes here and there.

10 (entire 2nd season) of Ballers

I have the last nine episodes of Masters of Sex and maybe half a dozen of The Americans.

I've been doing pretty well at keeping up with my stuff. The problem is with stuff I watch with friends, Masters being an example. I also have three or four episodes of Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and Shield. All of those are also shows I watch with friends.

My bigger problem is the number of movies I record to my DVR!

At one point my daughter had 50-odd episodes of Grey's Anatomy recorded. Then we pointed to her to Netflix and deleted most of them.

Currently have 10 episodes of Shark Tank and Code Black. Have no intention of dropping either. Will eventually get to them.

Also have 10 episodes of You're the Worst from this past season. It's something that I moderately like, but I'm never in the right mood to watch. Won't drop, but just need to set some time and be in the right mood to power through it.

I had 15 episodes of Younger (TV Land) 3 episodes left from season 2 and the entire 3rd season that just aired. But, eventually as more new content started getting recorded, the older stuff got deleted. So I decided to delete the entire group. I like the show, but it's never been priority viewing. It's something to watch when you're in the right mood and during slow times. I did see the entire series is available on the TV Land app, so maybe I'll catch up before the 4th season. But, it would be much easier if a Netflix or Hulu picked it up so I could binge watch it easier.

I think this applies to many, when you have a DVR, there is so sense of urgency to watch your favorite shows right away. Sometimes you get really lazy and let things build up. It's not like 30-40 years ago when it was such a chore to set your VCR to record 1 show at a time. Now you can record 5 shows at a time and easily accumulate 10 or more hours of content in 1 night alone. Now with shows being recorded digitally and also being available through legal streaming means, it makes it more easier to watch things at my leisure.

I recently got a much larger TIVO and now the backlog is piling up for certain shows. I think the biggest is thirty-some episodes of American Dad.

We have over 60 unwatched episodes of Modern Family on the DVR. We actually watched an episode two nights ago for the first time in a long time (obviously). The son on that show is just terrible. We will see if he gets any better over the three years we have built up... :-)

Four seasons of Game of Thrones and Homeland. There are at least six other series where I have the second half of last season and the new episodes from this season.
