"The Legion of Doom" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV)
TAKING RISKS - The Legends are determined to find and rescue Rip (Arthur Darvill), but first must focus on locating the Spear of Destiny. Stein (Victor Garber) thinks he has the perfect person to help but knows involving her will be risky. Meanwhile, Malcom Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) realize that Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher) is pitting them against each other. Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Franz Drameh and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Eric Laneuville directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#210). Original airdate 1/31/2017.

at the pissing match between Dahrk and Merlyn.They had some great hate banter between them.
It was cool that most of the episode was from the Legion of Doom perspective, including the opening narration.

Did I miss something? How did Darhk know to look for the tooth and how did he happen to know what the "filling" actually was?

Awesome episode. LoT is definitely the best of the 4 CW series this year. It's clear that the actors are having fun with it.
Black Racer anyone? So, is Black Racer faster than Savitar?

Its actually BLACK FLASH. He/It been around for almost 20 years in the comics.
At the end the season 2 FLASH Finale you get a glimpse of Zoom morphing into Black Flash.

Really liked this episode, but had a couple of questions...
Darhk doesn't have magic now?
How does Stein know about Eobard Thawne? What prompted Stein to remember him this episode and not sooner?
It was cool that the villains were talking about second chances too. Nice tie-in with the eponymous Arrow episode.

I thought the banter got ridiculously campy at times, just TOO over the top, but it was still funny most of the time. The whole sequence at the bank was golden.

I suspect that like with most stuff its about money. That's 2 minutes of already filmed material they get to re-use to save on budget. Since audiences still watch all the shows that do it there is no incentive to ever stop.

Stein was there when Eddie killed himself and wiped Thawne from existence. Problem with time travel on DC tv is it tends to be inconsistent. Sometimes changes happen instantaneously (like that episode) and sometimes it takes a long time like now. It seems this Thawne is from the original timeline of the show that we have never seen. He's from the timeline where the original Wells lives and Barry became the Flash later in life.

Yep. When I was a kid comic books, and especially DC Comics, were ridiculously outlandish and this show is finally capturing some of that feel that's missing from the other CW DC shows.

I'm glad they haven't given us last year's version of Rip Hunter. That character simply didn't work.
It was neat seeing the Black Flash appear, though I am surprised he hasn't been used on the Flash's own show.

After all Flash is always about Speedster villains only.. So how many more seasons can they go with Speedster villains without using him?
I'm not sure which exist that haven't been used...
