Well, this episode sold me on the Two Timeline theory.

Yeah, I seriously don't get what's going on sometimes. Were the Dolores interviews happening separately, or overnight? I'm loving this show, but sometimes I feel a bit lost.

I felt bad for Thandie Newton. Almost all of her screen time involved her lying naked on a gurney.

For the director who felt this was a good idea:

In a year filled with superb TV, this show is standing above them all so far.

So who is the guy Anthony Hopkins keeps drinking with? Wild Bill? The actor looks and sounds like Michael Wincott, but I don't see him listed anywhere.

Edit: Nevermind, guess I missed it. Character is "Old Bill" played by Wincott. I'm glad he's in it.

That's who I was thinking about last night while watching that scene.

Yeah, the interviews must be taking place after the events we're watching. I can't see the logistics of pulling her out of the west world overnight without White Hat freaking out that she's missing.

Before this episode, I was under the impression the Hosts were like the terminator, living tissue over robotics, but the Ed Harris scene seems to say they're more like test tube babies, which really makes the idea of the park even more horrific.

I just hope the next episode is a straight-up remakes of Monsters Inc. with Maeve running around the complex and the two idiots trying to catch her.

It would be kind of cool if they release a soundtrack with these instrumental songs.

I agree. I'd definitely purchase the soundtrack if it was available.

What was the tech trying to achieve while messing with the bird? Was he simply just trying to bring it back to life? Did he happen to turn on Maeve while doing that, or was it a coincidence?

Teddy's first episode where he doesn't die. That was cool that he programmed to protect Robert. Also enjoyed seeing William let Logan get beat up. What an unlikable prick.

I really felt sorry for Anthony Hopkins having to do that scene with a stark nekkid Evan Rachel Wood, it's terrible when people have to work in such conditions

Pulling the hosts out at night (for whatever reason) seems to be a pretty routine occurrence. While I don't doubt they would try to have as small an impact as possible on the guests while doing so it's not like the guests don't know they are in a park with hosts. If they noticed them going in for a few hours of routine maintenance it wouldn't necessarily blow their minds.

According to recapped:

Next Sunday’s Westworld has lots more naked Thandie Newton.

I fucking told you guys it was Michael Wincott like a moth ago.

Also, Logan is going to end up being the Ed Harris character.

I enjoyed the earlier episodes more than the latter ones. Not feeling the storyline with Delores and the 2 men.

Re: Westworld (S1E05) -- "Contrapasso" -- 10/30/16

I hate that the Two Timeline theory seems to be true. It's stupid, convoluted and such a messy way to tell a story. That kind of twist also simply doesn't work anymore in The Age of Reddit. When will writers learn?
I know, I know - don't get upset over a twist that hasn't happened yet. It sure seems likely though.

Re: Westworld (S1E05) -- "Contrapasso" -- 10/30/16

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the two (or more?) timeline idea, either.

It just overcomplicates the storyline without adding a lot of "meat" to it. I'm still not sold on whether or not Westworld is a story worth investing in, and pulling a convoluted stunt like that doesn't make me like it more.

Personally, I prefer watching a Newton nude scene over a Hopkins nude scene ... no matter what her areolas look like
