I like that Asian guy calls out Tandy's ridiculousness without being a jerk about it... everyone else is just so used to him that they go along. The landlines were a great touch as well.

So far, a good season ... Killing Hamm was just funny as hell, a new place (people?) will nice too.

I just realized that Steenburgen played Will Ferrell's mom in Step Brothers, so them having been lovers is kinda meta-funny like Jones shooting Hamm was

So that building with the lights on - did that look to be populated, or did it probably just have solar-powered generators that gave it power?

I was hoping to see Steenburgen in the Delorean since she didn't get a chance to ride in it in BTTF 3.

I like that Tandy burned down SF by being Tandy. I'm enjoying the direction of the new season. Some new blood plus the road trip and seemingly new home.

I really applaud this show for being different. They go from crazy/dumb/stupid comedy to totally dark or serious on a dime. Did they really go there with Gail?

Agreed. The show has a weird tone that I like a lot, and I think the cast is terrific.

Hate to think Gail is really gone...I like her attitude.

My bet is she "killed" Gordon and she will be found and be out of her depressive, wine fueled spiral.

No way. They even showed us in this very episode a "Gail" that you thought for sure was dead, in fact was not.

If Gail shot herself I don't think you would have been able to see the flash like we did in the window. She probably shot through the slot at something.

All this time off and they come back with half and hour of Kristin Wiig? Is she going to be part of the cast now?

Was there any indication when the show started that the show didn't take place in the present, but in the future?

I always figured it was slightly in the future, but now we have a solid timeline. Mike Pence is currently 57, and in the show died at 61 (making Trump no more than a one term president, if not less ). I think Pamela was down there another 4 years after that.

I thought it was a great episode and I love how this show can totally disregard the main cast and still feel like nothing is different.

I also liked this episode, Wiig being a terrible, cringe inducing joke teller always amuses me.

Crap, totally forgot this was on again. I'll have to go back and get it out, one of my favorite shows on TV.

Went back and saw it, didn't really enjoy it that much. Does anyone know if Wiig is on the show for the full season?

I could see her character being a good counter to Tandy. Might be fun to see for a while.

It was OK for a one-off. I wouldn't like to see something like this every week. Plus Wiig - while entertaining in small doses - wears thin on me a pretty quickly.

Re: The Last Man on Earth (FOX) -- Season 3 Thread -- premieres 9/25/16

I thought this was an excellent change of pace episode, and solves a mystery from earlier in the show. I was wondering if she was going to end up eating the dog, but that's probably a bit too dark (love the bit with the dog food though, which was also dark).

Probably a Sudeikis like guest spot (or even a Ferrell or Hamm like one), as I'm sure she's busy, plus she wouldn't find them right away.

I found it odd that
Spoiler:
the bunker was only for the couple. Actually that's what I thought at first, but when they said they had to wait to gain entry because of physicals, I thought maybe it was a bunker for a bunch of rich people. I mean they had the key already anyway.

Pretty sure the "waiting for a physical" was a throw away plot device to explain away why they weren't already in the bunker, the hope being no one would notice how ridiculous it was. Everything I saw/heard indicated to me the bunker was meant for just the couple.

2020 is the date I found online.
