Good riddance, kick off a nice person Hayes for some Anti Scientology Bigot Remini. Producers reap what they sew.

Now they can do a proper King of Queens revival.

I’m getting a mixed message here.

Why did they have to kill off the wife to bring back Remini to begin with?

This isn't surprising.

I only watched one episode... the S2 premiere - just to see how they handled the dead wife.
It wasn't very good at all, and it really did seem like they're just adjusting however they can to keep the show alive.

I saw 10 minutes of the Matt Leblanc show and it looked just as bad. I think it's back-to-back with this show - how are the ratings for it? Much like this show, I never hear anyone talk about it.

LeBlanc’s show got renewed even though no one at DVD talk like you is watching.

I'm a huge "KoQ" fan. It's one of my all-time favorite comedies. I tried watching this show twice when it premiered. But it was so bad, I couldn't continue. It's also the dumbest name for a show I've ever seen.

Periodically we watched both Kevin and LeBlanc. Neither were must see TV. LeBlanc's is better than James' but still in the category of nothing else is on. My wife likes The Voice when that is on.

I like Kevin James but this was a poor vehicle. They could have done a 1000 things with Donna and every one of them would have been better than killing her off. They should have just had them split up and use that as material for shows. I do like Remini better than that chick who played Donna but this was just a poorly written show.

Matt LeBlanc's show was renewed because he went up to the schedule maker at CBS and said "How You Doin"

That and his show is actually funny. I watch Man With a Plan all the time. Probably only one here that does.

I'm felt the same right from the beginning as it just felt like another generic sitcom with a laugh track that makes the show even more phony. And once they fired the wife after the 1st season, I was hoping it got cancelled.

And I say this as one of the biggest KOQ fans as I still watch the reruns every night, but this was just terribly unfunny TV.

Yep. James Burrows directs many eps and the cast and writing is pretty good.

I watch Man with a Plan even though it is very dumb at times, it has enough laughs for me to keep watching but it isn't a priority. Sometimes they build up and I just binge a bunch to catch up.

Of the 2 shows it is the better one.

Always nice to meet another "KoQ" fan. This loser has the box set and yet I still stop the channel if I see it on TV anywhere. Even though I've seen every episode like 25 times now.

Re: Kevin Can Wait (CBS) -- S: Kevin James -- Series Thread

This is kind of amusing:

AMC has announced that it is developing a series from Rashida Jones and Will McCormack under the working title Kevin Can F— Himself. The title and logline is clearly inspired by the CBS comedy Kevin Can Wait (starring Kevin James), which killed off Erinn Hayes’ wife character after season 1 and was canceled after season 2.

Here’s the official description from AMC: “Kevin Can F*** Himself, (working title) from creator Valerie Armstrong (SEAL Team) and executive producers Rashida Jones and Will McCormack through Le Train Train (Claws) explores the secret life of a woman we all grew up watching: the sitcom wife. A beauty paired with a less attractive, dismissive, caveman-like husband who gets to be a jerk because she’s a nag and he’s ‘funny.’ Our series looks to break television convention and ask what does the world look like through her eyes? Alternating between single-camera realism and multi-camera zaniness, the formats will be constantly informing one another as we ask what happens when this supporting character is presented as a real person? And what if that person is pissed?”
