10 episode 3rd season
This will be airing going into the end of October. Really surprised that FX pushed this so close to the Fall, especially since it will be facing heavy Sunday night competition in a few weeks.

^That picture is so ridiculous!
Looking forward to tonight, though.

Didn't realize it was back tonight until I saw a commercial while flipping through channels. Ridiculous as it is at times, I have enjoyed the hell out of the first two seasons. I've read the first two books which has me struggling to remember what events have happened in the show and what was on the page.
I know one of our knocks on this show is the vague timeline; tonight kicked of saying it had been 23 days since the plane landed. Seems quick, but it gives us perspective.
Fett is a badass and I loved seeing him working with the Navy SEALs. Too bad that didn't last longer. It really was the only interesting part of the episode. It was definitely easing us back into it. Ephraim's plight was more of the same. A brief check in with Setrakian was worthless as was the stop at Gus's house.
The preview afterwards made it appear there will be a lot of flashback this season.

I'm just glad Mia Maestro was forgotten as quickly as Sam Wise Gamgee

Seemed a bit disjointed with everyone doing their own thing.

I was kind of hoping for a "previously on". I couldn't remember who survived and who didn't from last season.
It was an OK opener. Season looks promising. Quinlan makes watching worth it. You know he's going to kick some serious ass.

The coolest most interesting character on the show is still getting too little screen time (Quinlan).

While I fully agree on the parking garage point, I will defend the "going home" bit ... I don't think Eph was expecting a human Zach to return. If he was turned he would still have some latent memories and would likely return to the house. Then again, Eph is a drunken idiot.

Got to watch this. Best part was the prologue, giving us a little insight. Good to see the virus spread. I was lost on the timeline. Had no idea all of season 1 took place in 20-or-so days.
