ABC Fall 2016-17 Schedule Announced
ABC is the third network, following NBC and Fox, to announce its schedule for the 2016-17 TV season, and its major moves — though as suspected — Scandal will not return until midseason, while The Middle is relocating to a new neighborhood for Season 8.
Filling the #TGIT gap on Thursdays in the fall will be Notorious, a new drama starring Covert Affairs‘ Piper Perabo and Graceland‘s Daniel Sunjata.
Other key takeaways: Hayley Atwell’s Conviction is inheriting Castle‘s former time slot, the Kiefer Sutherland-led Designated Survivor will replace Nashville on Wednesdays and Secrets and Lies Season 2 will finally see the light of day, airing Sundays in front of Quantico.
On tap for midseason, in addition to Scandal, are The Catch, Shondland’s Romeo & Juliet sequel Still Star-Crossed, Time After Time, the comedies Downward Dog and Imaginary Mary, and the limited series When We Rise.

Nothing interesting here. I had watched OUAT up till the season finale, but I don't think I'll be tuning in this Fall, and nothing else from ABC seems to interest me.

I'll be checking out Conviction since I like Hayley Atwell and I'll probably watch Designated Survivor for a couple episodes. Otherwise I'll be watching my usual ABC shows. I probably watch more ABC shows than any other broadcast network. I like Fresh Off the Boat, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, Blackish, Last Man Standing, Shark Tank and Quantico.

That slot has been the worst on ABC's schedule for years. Putting a show with a somewhat loyal fanbase, along with a show that ties into their huge movie franchise makes a lot of sense. Plus, with all the comedy they're airing, where else would it go? Sunday? Friday?

Tuesday 10pm has been ABC's garbage dump for many years, for shows to die or to get enough episodes for syndication reruns (ie. 88-100+ episodes).

I just watched the preview/trailer for Conviction and it looks pretty bad. I hoped that Hayley Atwell would do something more likeable than this to follow up her excellent work as Agent Carter (in the movies and on TV).

Conviction (can't pass up a show that looks like it will school cops and prosecutors) and Designated Survivor seem interesting. Though I'm not a Kiefer fan. Probably won't last long with carbon blobs if he's not torturing and snapping the necks of people.
