It's a running gag with the mom, she's normally out of focus or obstructed in some way. The last time was to cover the fact it was Samantha Bee playing the role, it was Rebecca Koon this time.

Didn't anyone catch that, in the latest episode, Nate said the lines from the theme song? When talking about where they should go, he said 'Somewhere behind the mountion, there is a place that we should go'. I thought that was pretty cool.

Not only was it off camera but they went from quicksand to a pond in the blink of an eye. I wonder if this was a continuity/editing glitch and they just said eff it and left it in the episode.

You are not the only person to have wondered what happened in the scene.

The kids on this show are crazy awesome.
