I feel so cheated. I thought the bookend to this episode would setup Flash traveling to Supergirl's earth. Now the Supergirl episode will air ahead of the next Flash episode. Does this mean they are on the same Earth?

Episode was good. Wish they'd drop the Iris/Wally thing. She has good chemistry with the editor.

Freaky to see the disintegration.

They've been very clear that it's two different worlds, though it would have been a good transition (and you could have done it in a way it wouldn't affect the show when it's run in syndication).

For those that don't know, Opal City is in Maryland and home to Starman.

At this point is there a speedster slower than the Flash?

The interview I read stated that the amount of time The Flash is gone in his world amounts to a few seconds in the context of him attempting to make his jump. They could do that next week and all it would amount to is a few lines of "did it work?", "where did you go?" etc.

Thanks. Wondered about Opal City.

Maybe we'll get to see her run nude through the woods again.

I thought Zoom was the earth 1 jay, aka Hunter Zoloman, not the Jay they've been working with?

I don't think so. I think he's from yet another alternate Earth.

but did the Jay 1 they know actually betray them or is that just what they think?

Well, since I don't really keep up with the DC universe that much this info could be wrong but isn't Starman I and II dead. The alien Starman went back to space and Jack retired to San Francisco. Did they change all that the last 20 years?

Starman would make a great series.

Re: The Flash (S2E16) -- "Trajectory" -- 3/22/16

Loved the dramatic smashing of Jay's helmet case. Exactly why was it being kept in a display case? Oh yeah, only to have to have some relevance at the end of the episode. As far as Jay that was killed, Jay Zoom obviously was displeased about the Jay who was with the team on Earth 1, so I don't think it was the same person. I'm sure we'll be sure in the upcoming episodes.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at V9 being a PED, and that being a superhero who uses a drug to become faster is "cheating", as if it's only natural he's a metahuman. I get what the show was trying to do, but it just came off a little too hokey.

When Cisco talked about having $60 stolen from Trajectory, it made me wonder, what does he do for money? Did he and Caitlin have some stock in S.T.A.R. Labs and sold it quickly after the particle accelerator debacle?

Opal City as a thing in DC Comics has only been around for about 20 years.

It's tough to say what it is in continuity at the moment with the New 52 getting blown up.

Besides Starman, the other DC hero residing in Opal City some may have heard of is

Spoiler:
The Elongated Man, Ralph Dibny.

Somehow I get the feeling that "Mercury Labs" must have some connection to Max Mercury.

I liked the line about Law and Order. I half expected Joe to look at the camera and wink. Mostly because I kept thinking that scene felt like a Law and Order bit before the line and I wasn't sure if I felt that way because Jesse Martin was in it.

Re: The Flash (S2E16) -- "Trajectory" -- 3/22/16

Honestly, didn't really care for Trajectory. Kind of a weak copycat speedster villain.

Although her disintegrating at the end was kind of cool.

Yeah I liked the Law and Order line with Martin in the same scene.

In regards to Superman's comment about setting up the Supergirl crossover. There's no way this episode could have set that up. Both shows are shot on different production schedules. I think we have to look at the Supergirl crossover as just a self contained standalone episode.

I will be very disappointed if we don't get to see Cisco's reaction to Barry meeting someone called Supergirl.

Re: The Flash (S2E16) -- "Trajectory" -- 3/22/16

I think they easily could have filmed something. Barry was very upset at the end and went running off. He could have gone so fast he entered the speedforce. Not knowing how to navigate or control he would then end up on Earth 3 (baring any other name) to meet Supergirl.

They then could have had him give a throwaway line in the next Flash episode.

dex14 03-24-16 11:38 AM

Re: The Flash (S2E16) -- "Trajectory" -- 3/22/16

Again...

So how exactly does the crossover work? For the uninitiated, Barry/The Flash, who has been training to increase his already supersonic speed in order to fight übervillain Zoom, uses a tachyon device that causes him to run so fast he literally ends up in an alternate
universe. Therein lies the reason why it’s a lot easier to bring Barry Allen to a different Earth than the less plausible un-super superhero Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). While the trip will amount to a hot
second on the April 5 episode of Flash, it results in Barry spending a day in National City (and on CBS for the March 28 episode of Supergirl), where he’s shocked to discover another hero.

I would guess we won't see that until a few more episodes later on Flash's own show.

If it's supposed to be a blip on the April 5th episode then later in that episode there just really needs to be a "nerd out" moment for Barry and Cisco.

Gustin has shit chemistry with the girl who plays Iris. But the chemistry between him and Benoist is off the freaking charts. No joke - these two were made to be together. I know Benoist is already married, but they'd be a perfect TV couple.

Doubly weak since we just saw this plot on Supergirl.

They'd make good-looking babies, that's for sure. I suppose she and the Flash could experiment? I mean, if they want to try rough stuff, they can heal fast! [i]50 Shades of Red and Blue[/b]!

God, I need help.

I liked him much better with Patti, they were much cuter together, and she was just kind of unceremoniously written off the show.
