Of course Cain and Slater were both stunt casting. That's why I'm saying you don't cast someone who once played Clark Kent and Superman to appear in just flashbacks. I figured he and those flashbacks would lead to a significant storyline this season.
For the record, Cain only appeared in 1 episode of Smallville.

Same reason you see blurred out logos in reality shows.

Long hair Alex was hotter and her acting seemed less stiff. Double bonus.
I liked the lead lined glass bit too. Figures he'd come up with something since he is a scientist. I'd also like to put their talk side by side with Clark and Jonathan from Man of Steel. :yak: at least Smallville got the supportive parents part of the mythology correct (well until the Martha twist in season 8 or something....).
No Big Belly Burger?

I am pretty sure that CBS strongly considered Chyler Leigh to be Supergirl before settling on Melissa. Alex has ended up being a more important character than James or Winn.

That interrogation scene did unfold oddly. There must have been some hinky editing at the last minute or something.

Yeah, I was guessing Lucy noticed there was something off the way Alex pulled the electrodes off her hand, like they weren't connected properly or something.

Should Supergirl return for a second season, Berlanti and his Producers expected to cast Lynda Carter as the POTUS. They apparently couldn't fit it into her schedule this season.

I'm wondering how long it will be until J'onn gets released and becomes a Superhero in his own right?
Superman seems to be content with just letting his friends rot in alien-jail. Too many Superman references in this show, and we have to believe he doesn't get involved in any of this.

Just learned that Melissa Benoist did a topless scene in S2 of Homeland.

I liked the part about the glasses. It explains the biggest thing that has bugged me about the show. That being those glasses are way to small for her face, it's annoying. While in BvS movie Clark is wearing oversized clown glasses. Maybe in the next film we can get a flashback with Pa giving them to young Clark and tell him he will grow into them over time.

CBS today has named a bunch of shows getting renewed, Supergirl is not on the list. It could still get renewed, but if not, is it even possible for CW to take over?

Supergirl's season ends in 3 weeks as opposed to early mid-May like most shows. I think it's possible that CBS will wait until the May upfronts to officially renew it. They probably want to see data from the Flash crossover and the finale first.

I'm enjoying it more than Legends of Tomorrow. It's had it's ups and downs but the last couple episodes have been solid.

Yeah, LoT has been the biggest tv disappoinment I've personally experienced in a few years. I'd take Supergirl over it if we could only have one of them.

Absolutely. They nailed it with Benoist. I was skeptical of the Olson change, but he's been solid as well. I've also never been a fan of Flockhart, but she is very good at her profession. Everyone else is variations of good to pretty good, except for Lucy. I'm not feeling her at all which is unfortunate given her promotion this episode.
They should bring back General Lane in some capacity, Morshower is fantastic.

The idea that we would only see Cain in a few flashbacks seems pretty common.
