I loved how they staged it so we got the reveal of Mike's face in the opening scene, then in the final scene they kept the normal side of his face in shadow.

It kind of just blew my mind to learn that the actor who plays Tuco is turning 55 this year. He looks like he's in his mid 30's.

Another great detail was that Crazy 8 was wearing a Tampico polo which I'm sure was his uniform for his family's furniture store.

There was also a Tampico van/delivery truck visible out the window of the restaurant.

Yup. Bottom line is when you're making a direct prequel like this, some decision are already made for you and some characters are just (temporarily) immortal during the show's run.

It plays right into my problem with this show (that I still LOVE, BTW) : Everything is kinda set in stone. Saul can't end up with Kim, he can't resolve his relationship with Chuck, he can't stay on the right side of the law. I can still enjoy the ride, but to make it a destination show when we already know what that destination is, well that's just a little odd.. The show I thought we were going to get was about slippery Saul moving from case to case. That would certainly have been less ambitious, but it wouldn't have these raised stakes that we know are going to end badly...

I dunno, I am enjoying the hell out of the People vs OJ Simpson, and I already know how that one ends...

That's a procedural, not a destination show. I'm enjoying the hell out of that one as well.

If people make it a point to watch live, then it is a destination show for them.

For me, it's the same attitude I have about movie spoilers - in the end I don't really care since it's about the journey rather then just knowing the end result.
