This revival definitely needs to end strong. Although it's been great seeing Duchovny and Anderson in these roles again, and Darin Morgan's episode was indeed terrific, overall I'd say it's been a slight disappointment thus far.

I've liked all the episodes so far. I'd say the 1st one was the weakest. I'd love for them to make more episodes, and guessing by the tremendous ratings, we'll get more.

Making their triumphant return tonight. Not going to spoilerize this, since it was previously mentioned in articles that they would be coming back.

I've enjoyed these new episodes for the most part, but I'm still waiting to see something that truly justifies them resurrecting the show. Whether that means giving us a standalone worth putting up next to the best that the original series has to offer, or by adding something worthwhile to the mythology. I put the Darin Morgan episode in the "close, but no cigar" category. Otherwise, I haven't gotten anything out of these that I can't get in much greater quantity from the original run.

Yeah, the new episodes have been fun, and at the very least much better than anything in season 9. Don't see why there needs to be justification for a few hours of entertainment on TV.

Carter and the cast said before the show premiered that it was brought back because of the fans.
Same reasoning was mentioned when 24 was brought back 2 years ago.
No other justification needed.

I guess when I said justification I meant in the sense of will there ever be a need to watch these episodes again and will they have any lasting relevancy to the show as a whole. So far I don't think so. I suppose if they lead to better episodes down the line that will be a different story, but until then it's been a pretty empty experience for me.

Maybe people should wait until they have viewed the last of these new episodes before they go on about how they may, or may not, add anything to the other seasons.

Great episode. I feel like every xfiles fan girl let out a collective yelp during that dance number.

Tonally sloppy, rushed, with forced dialogue and the stupid line dancing was extended to the point of satiety, but overall it was still a slight improvement on last week's failed fuckfest. Some clear similarities to Carter's Season 9 episode Improbable which did a far better job of balancing the dark and the whimsical. I almost expected to see Burt Reynolds' face superimposed into that final shot again as the all-seeing God. Still not as good as middle-of-the-road episodes from the better seasons.
1.) Mulder and Scully Meet The Were-Monster
2.) Founder's Mutation
3.) My Struggle
4.) Babylon
5.) Home Again

Jesus christ... that episode... yikes....
Definitely the worst of the run (and I haven't even finished the episode yet!)
UPDATE
Just finished the episode. This was an absolute train wreck! The Next Generation Agents were awful... the story was ludicrous (I'll take Magic Mushrooms to speak to a comatose terrorist)... TCSM whipping Mulder.... the complete throw away of The Long Gunmen... The Lumineers ending the episode. I'll say it again... Jesus Christ.
And what is Chris Carter's obsession with 9/11?

I haven't watched tonight's episode yet, but hoping for a strong finish.
