That was possibly the most entertaining episode of the series so far. Awesome all around. Loved that annoying little kid and his family getting eaten.

Sam had started in with "mom, mom" just as they had left the house. So they either are saying they got him calmed down for much of the trek, or they just flat out ignored that he had immediately starting panicking. And just in case people had forgot what freaked him out in the first place, they replay Carol's dialogue. So yes, Carol is at fault for the loss of that family and Carl's eye.

How did it get dark so fast after they left the house though? Were they walking from Alexandria to Baltimore or something?
Nice to see the entire Porch Dick family gone. The show was getting top heavy with characters.
Thought the montage at the end of the fight was great and a defining moment.

That scene went down in the comics almost exactly the same way, so the characters weren't suddenly written out of the series. It was actually well foreshadowed with Carol's threat to Sam and the antagonism that was set up berween Ron, Rick, and Carl.

I am inclined to believe it's just a production error. It's way out in the distance and only visible for a few frames. If they wanted to that show someone was watching Daryl blow up the Saviours, then they would have made it more obvious.

We said the same thing. Blindfold him, put cotton in his ears, heck, even carry him and let him bury his head in someone's chest (he's not that big a kid).
To take a kid who's hidden out in his room quaking in fear out in the midst of the herd and not expect him to freak out is incredibly short-sighted for such experienced hands.
It was a big enough leap of faith to trust Gabriel to take care of Judith, but they didn't have a lot of choice there unless they drugged her (as in giving her drugs, not dragging her along with them).

Rick has become Chick Kryptonite. Arousing his interest is killing off more love interests than Little Joe Cartwright.

That's the way I took it. So can we pin their deaths and Carl's eye on Carol? She's the reason he freaked the fuck out causing everyone to stop. He dies. Mom dies. Other son has nothing left to live for and figures "no time like the present" and takes aim at Carl.
But yeah, best episode, possibly every, of this show. I loved Crazy Rick heading out to take on 2,000 zombies with a hatchet, and everyone else joining in. I know it'll feel like a letdown next week, but this is one I'll actually re-watch.

I would say you are pretty close to completely accurate with that. I would add the fact that the mom wanted to send him with Father Gabriel, and he said that he could make it through with the group lends further weight to your analysis.

Here's a video of the mysterious car:

I doubt it. I was just making the point from the viewer's perspective. After all, the audience seems to have turned on Morgan because every decision he makes results in someone dying.

Without a doubt, in the viewers perspective, Carol could be labeled at fault for Carl. Given the overall feeling for Carl by the viewers, I dont know that people are really going to care. As for Morgan, that is a slightly different situation. I agree that the viewers have turned on him, but there are also characters on the show that know what he is doing and has done, and are starting to turn on him. Most notably Carol, who even said that she should have killed him.

No, nobody else knows what Carol said to Sam. One has to wonder if Carol will feel guilt over it, and come clean to Rick (or everybody) or just pretend it never happened. She has come clean before.

If there's any guilty conscience after that episode, it might be Michone for not chopping off the kids arm instead... or for killing the kid altogether (I'm assuming it's the first time she's killed a kid?).

Goodbye, annoying kid!
The opening scene was hilarious. I thought the lead biker was a poorly cast Negan so that surprised me, but I guess he wasn't.

But why would Carol think her scaring Sam had anything to do with what happened? Most of the town (outside of Rick's gang) are very scared to one degree or another. A little kid being scared/panicking while walking through hundreds of walkers shouldn't make Carol think it's her fault. The only way that would happen is if she knew exactly what Sam was thinking at the time - which she doesn't.

Knowing Scott Gimple, he'll probably see this and write it into the plot for later on. But you're right it's probably either (a) not a car at all or (b) just something the filmmakers missed. It's WAY off in the distance.
