Re: Supergirl (S1E12) -- "Bizarro" -- 2/1/16
So, will this be a last ditch effort to boost the ratings? How likely is CBS to renew this? Or move it to The CW? I don't think they'd mind having another DC show on the network next year to do a crossover week with. It seems to be doing better in the ratings than Limitless.

I'm pretty sure that it's not your standard CBS audience that is tuning in to Supergirl and it's also made up of a lot of comic reading... or at least comic aware viewers who know of the character. Who do you think watches Big Bang Theory? Also on that "old person network" CBS.

In my experience, BBT is watched by old people who like to ask "You like comic books? Do you watch The Big Bang Theory?"

If the Arrow/Flash cross-overs were a good example though, there still will be in jokes made that will not fully make sense unless you had seen prior episodes. I remember there being many "ah-ha" moments as we caught up on the S1 and S2 episodes of Arrow we had missed after watching S1 of Flash.
Personally I really detest cross-overs on shows that are not sure procedurals given there is so much you miss by not having watched the previous episodes. For example, the recent NCIS/NCIS NOLA cross over was worked OK even though we would never watch NOLA full time. That second NOLA part was brutal (the fake southern accents alone make me want to tear off my ears).

I'll probably watch it, and since neither character was introduced in either show, which was a big part of establishing The Flash series, I don't see too many in-jokes that would be missed.. Even the crossover episodes of Arrow and The Flash have had very minimal with in-jokes and were very stand alone for their respective series.

“Worlds Finest” – Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire, in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.

Saw that poster on Facebook. Pretty cool design.
The Flash's Facebook page has got some very mixed opinions about this crossover. Some like it, but there's quite a few who hate the idea and refuse to watch the crossover episode.

If they DON'T make some kind of Crisis or Anti-Monitor reference, I'll be a sad panda.
Apropos of nothing but I went jogging last night in the park, wearing my Flash logo tech shirt, and I passed a very young girl on a bicycle with her mother. She couldn't have been a whisker past four years old. She saw my shirt, pointed, and told her mom, "Look Mom, he has a Flash shirt!"
As a longtime DC fan, this made me all

Personally I think it's pretty weak, especially in comparison to what the Flash and Legends teams have been putting out.
The logo drives me nuts too(same for Superman). It's the wrong perspective, to me.
So don't watch?
