I know we've had scattered discussion about this series in various threads, but hey, now it's a Golden Globe winner!

I like it. It's not amazing, but it's entertaining, and the wife and I both like classical music and that's not a subject that comes up in TV that often. I think in general the fake-playing is good, but the conducting looks pretty bad.

The cast is good--nice to see Bernadette Peters and Malcolm McDowell, and Saffron Burrows is gorgeous. The lead Lola Kirke is fine.

I enjoyed watching both Seasons. it's a fun light comedy/drama.

A nice watch the past two years over the Christmas break.

Sweet. I've enjoyed the series so far. And oddly enough, I like Gael Garcia Bernal's character. His odd goofiness is actually not annoying. The whole cast is good. I liked this season better than the first, so I'm looking forward to the third.

And I guess none of these Amazon shows will ever hit physical media like Netflix shows? I wouldn't have mind picking this show up for extras.

I thought they had burn-on-demand discs for Transparent, but now I don't see them on their site. That would seem like a really low-cost way for them to do that, and even if Amazon Prime customers wouldn't want it, I could see people getting them as gifts or as you say for extras. These shows are more visible now that they're getting awards.

I assume they've investigated the possibility of partnering with a regular studio for physical distribution, but maybe they decided it wasn't worth it considering shelf space these days. They'd rather make it forbidden fruit to draw people into Prime.

It's a good show and the fact that each episode is barely 30 minutes helps make the seasons fly by. I've really liked it so far, and I have a thing for Saffron Burrows, so that's an added bonus. Looking forward to the new season.

We just started watching this. Didn't really have any context or background on it. Only a handful of episodes into season -, but as others have said really light, breeezy and fun.

As a side note, give how much bad press Malcom gave Star Trek Generations, every time he's on screen I keep wondering if he thinks his role is beneath him.

I guess Amazon doesn't like that their shows that they don't promote don't do well the second they're unceremoniously dumped onto their streaming platform.

Four seasons is actually longer than any of their shows... so far. So not bad. Transparent will have 5... if they ever figure out what to do. Bosch will get 5.

Most smaller things are getting the axe to make way for big budget buzz worthy type shows.

That stinks, but it's definitely a notch lower than years past, on ep 8 this season.. oh well. Hope they find something fun to replace it, lot's of dark dramas out there...
