It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FXX) - Season 11 Thread - premieres 1/6/16


Episode 1 / Production #1105 - "Chardee MacDennis 2: Electric Boogaloo" (Airs January 6, 10:00 pm e/p) - The gang agrees to a truce while demonstrating Chardee MacDennis for an interested board game executive, but the nature of the game quickly sends things off the rails. Written by Rob McElhenney & Charlie Day; directed by Heath Cullens.
Ten episode 11th season. Renewed through season 12.

It's insane that this show has been running longer than Seinfeld. Sure, they're shorter seasons, but it's still more years.

Nice guest appearance by Michael's boss from The Office.

Laughed a couple of times, but this is one of those stupidly over the top episodes.

I forgot how much I loved CharDeeMcDennis! The "SAW" sequence had me rolling!

I loved their accents, and how for Philly, Dennis inexplicably put on a Jersey accent and Dee an Australian one.

I thought I detected a bit of a Baltimore accent out of Dennis.

I loved how exited Charlie got over the wrong answer of Dr. J. And the look on Dennis's face when he got to break the bottle for Charlie and Mac to reconstruct.

I did like how Dee called out Charlie and Mac for being racist with that accent, considering her Martina Martinez and Taiwan Tammy characters in America's Next Top Paddy's Billboard Model Contest.

Okay, Always Sunny pulled it off. Every episode where the ending reveal is "oh we made it up, never mind" is literally the lamest ending ever. But they went so far beyond the line, I forgive them. Literally a lazy season-opener, and I thought it was a pretty amazing lazy opener.

Charlie thinking that Frank's fall took them through a time warp (and Mac's reaction)

And then him bringing it up again a couple more time like it still might be true.

And the back and forth with Charlie/Mac on Mac being gay in the future
