I'm actually surprised a few of you think The Walking Dead is one of the "Best" of 2015

I'm a fan, but I think season 6 has been a disappointment creatively so far through 8 episodes. Hardly what I would consider the best of the year.

Funny because if I made a top 10 list I'd have to put it on there. Only reason being that I don't watch ten shows

Re: Post Your Top 10 TV Shows of 2015

Castle - getting stale but still has its moments
Big Bang - same as above
Life In Pieces - fun new show
The Middle - still fun
Goldbergs - gold
Supergirl - has potential and seems to be building nicely
Blindspot - same as above
Marvel's Agent Carter - looking forward to new season
Blacklist - even though I have them piled up on the DVR

We watch a few more but they are on because the wife puts them on. I enjoy them enough to sit there but don't look for the show if she's not around. I had to work just to get to 9

Modern Family
Blackish
Scorpion - like a car wreck that makes you look
NCIS

Rectify probably will make my list whenever I get around to finishing out the entire season. Those episodes have been sitting on my DVR for months.

Killjoys fell just outside my top ten.

I haven't watch Mr. Robot or Narcos yet.
Got through 7 episodes of Mr. Robot. I tried. Couldn't take anymore, but I can see why some love it. Too dark and absurd to me. Weird show for USA to air.

Ugh. Knew I forgot something. Make mine a top-11.

Forgot Bloodline too. That replaces Justified.

It's still very entertaining and well-acted to me. Plus, I'm including the second 8 from LAST season in my assessment.

Re: Post Your Top 10 TV Shows of 2015

After thinking about it, I have to say the 1st 8 episodes of The Blacklist this season was some pretty compelling TV and some of the best of 2015. Major comeback after a lackluster 2nd season.

Looking forward to it's return on Thursday night.

I've enjoyed Blindspot, but I think creatively it has some kinks to work out in it's narrative. I rarely ever consider 1st year shows some of the best of the year. Only exception was the 1st season of Homeland.

I am worried that once this arc is over it goes back to what it was. And that would be a shame,

Re: Post Your Top 10 TV Shows of 2015

I spent much of the year catching up on shows like Arrow, The Flash, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, but one original series I thought was really good was The Man in the High Castle (Amazon).

As much as I see Fargo on a lot of lists, I am iffy about checking it out. For some reason, Coen Brothers films just don't do it for me, so I am wondering if the TV show is more of the same.

Definitely not more of the same unless just the general "Coen" tone is going to give you that feeling. Many awesome performances and a very compelling and cohesive story that lasts the entire season. I only had one nitpick about the whole season, but most viewers even liked that angle. One of the very best in every way.

I've watched the first two of MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE and am sort of bored with it. I intend to get through the first season, but it hasn't hooked me yet.

I'm not a huge fan of FARGO, the movie (like it, but don't love it) and I've loved both seasons of FARGO, the TV series.

I'm actually in the same lot. I'm four episodes in and bored out of my mind.

The season was full of misfires:
Spoiler:
The whole Glen thing was and still is absurd.

Making Darryl, Abraham and Sasha spend 5 episodes sitting in a car/on a motorcycle was Season 2 levels of dumb.

Similarly
Michonne and Carol had next to nothing to do all season.

Fans wanted Morgan's backstory and what did we get? The Phantom Menace. Turns out less is more. They got 90 minutes for this one? This was the 'Jack's tattoo' of TWD.

Finale had all kinds of stupid moments and wasn't very good. The season should have ended an episode earlier.

Alexandrian's added nothing. Usually there's at least a single character that will carry on with Rick's group but they're all worthless. Hell even Fr Gabriel is sticking around and he's even more useless than Eugene. I could see the good lady doc sticking with them, but our heroes somehow forgot how to head shot someone.

The Wolves plot was half baked despite a cool attack sequence. The outcome didn't match the buildup.

So yeah, overall one of the worst half seasons yet. Despite all that I still find the show very entertaining and like the characters. So basically it's riding on last/previous seasons reputation for me.

If I recall correctly, Philip K. Dick's book wasn't big on action, and more about ideas, so it seems the series is following suit (whether by design or not is open to debate).

The problem is it doesn't really seem to expand on the ideas that it sets into motion. It isn't a bad show, but it's sort of half-assed for the fantastic concept at hand -- and I don't mind a lack of action, pretty sick of action shows as it is, but it just seems to lack the intrigue that should be there.

Fair enough - you're not the only one I've heard that from. While I liked it, I thought it could be better. Then again, it's the first season - will see what happens in season 2.
