What other characters did Tina have? I can only recall WU and Palin.

Glad I wasn't the only one. The keyboards were insanely loud and drowned out everything else.

The best sketch for me was the Second Wife one. I get the feeling Tina Fey wrote it, as she's been known to write the occasional sketch when she returns to host. It really seemed like something she'd write too.

I had to FF the second Bruce song.

All I heard was keyboards and sax.

Anyway the ep was decent enough.
I liked the Bronx talk with Tina's Philly girl.
She's from the Philly 'burbs, went to HIgh school in Upper Darby.

She mostly nailed the accent.
"Youse" is mostly south Philly but nearly everyone in the area says "wooder" for water.
I was born and raised Philly so I really liked that sketch.

Palin does a pretty good Tina Fey impression:

Oh, looks like the next new ep is January 16th with Adam Driver (aka Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens).
My birthday yeah!

I know she is not as big as she use to be but I wish Poehler did the Dakota Fanning Show.

Those sketches cracked me up.

Come to think about besides Brooklyn Chat and Caitlyn the hyper girl with the Mickey Mouse shirt I don't remember Amy Poehler having many memorable SNL characters with repeating sketches but she was great on WU and doing impressions.

That was probably my favorite sketch of the season.

I don't know how regular they were, but her Avril Lavigne and Michael Jackson were pretty great

The problem is that Fanning is too big - as in grown up. The joke was that she was a little girl that acted like a snobby adult. By the same token, Vanessa Bayer can't do the Miley Cyrus thing now, as it was based on the Hanna Montana-era version of her rather than the persona she has today.

Although it could work in a flashback. Maybe if Fanning hosts someday, she could say something in her monologue about how she's changed since she was so young, then it would transition to Poehler doing her impression. Then go back to the real Fanning, acting just like the character.

Or it's just something that was kind of clever ten years ago, but now no one gives a shit about Dakota Fanning or knows who she is

That would be good lol.

Watching her recent work maybe Dakota was better as a kid actress since it seems awkward watching her in movies now and her acting does not look natural.

Sharon Stone was another good one and her Sharon Osbourne impression.

Former UFC champion (Rowdy) Ronda Rousey will host "Saturday Night Live" on Jan. 23. The NBC show made the announcement via Twitter.
