Perhaps, but Clark didn't don the glasses until after he became Superman.

One thing that annoys me on this show is that she's constantly saying she's supergirl in public. Jesus girl, learn how to talk about something on the DL.

I've got to say I was surprised by the whole "sex" part of the rant, considering this is being pitched as more of a "Family" show (as compared to "Arrow").

It was constructed to appeal to women aged 18-34. Look at the ads run during the show. I would expect more stuff like that, not less.

It's only a matter of time until we get the episode where everyone speculates in public on Supergirl's dating life.

I fully expect them to speculate on her love life, -specifics about her vagina a little less so. Keep in mind this was also a show that promoted itself with a special showing for mothers and their young daughters presenting "Supergirl" as an icon for them.

It was about usual when compared to the kind of stuff that ran on teen shows I watched as the target demographic in the WB era. I was an even more thin-skinned flake of a prude than I am now, if that's possible, and I wasn't super-shocked by it when back then. It's about usual. Pretty tame compared to the kind of stuff a real shock jock would say. As for the topic proper, well, I suppose even superpowered people have, you know, needs .

I really didn't like the inclusion of "Take me to Church" in the soundtrack. Too cynical for the show. It just didn't fit.

I also liked this episode and the intro of Livewire. It was good to see a softer side of Cat. Count me in as another person that didn't like that Take Me To Church cover.
