According to Marc Guggenheim, the showrunner, this is a one-off. There are no plans to bring back John Constantine again at this time.

Fuck that was awesome. Loved all the musical changes when he is on screen. If the producers of the show can't figure out a way to bring him back occasionally, they are assholes.

So that magical object Constantine picked up in the Flashback was called, "The Orb of Horus"?

If so, too bad. I don't think there is such an object in the DCU.
But there is an "Orb of RA" which transform Rex Mason into METAMORPHO.

I did like seeing Matt Ryan as Constantine again.

It was good to see Constantine after that show was dropped. Pretty decent cross-over and tie-in. Constantine brought Sara's soul back so she'll be ready to cross-over into Legends of Tomorrow. Still not really happy that Flash and Arrow both this season so far has been little more than just a lot of build up and advertisement towards Legends of Tomorrow. I mean the episodes have been decent, but I'd like to see some of the shows stand on their own again.

yeah, that made me miss Constantine and the possibility of doing it justice, even in the few minutes he was on.

Really hope they bring him back some. Considering the amount of mysticism that this show seems to delve into, it would be nice. Maybe on Earth-2, Arrow was cancelled and Stephen Amell went on to guest-star in an episode of Constantine.

Good to see Constantine back. Thought it was fun and I liked how he was tied into Ollie's backstory.

I'm glad they didn't drag out crazy Sara.

It's funny how 'the island' is suppose to be this hard to find place or whatever but all these people keep finding their way to it. Now Constantine of all people.

So how exactly did Oliver know that Constantine would be able to bring Sara's soul back just from their one previous meeting?

I actually didn't question Constantine finding it. It's odd. He seems very much out of the blue, but you accept that he's there because... well, he's Constantine.

Of all the shows I watch, Arrow regularly leaves more blanks in its storytelling for the viewer to fill in themselves. This episode had to cram in how Oliver and Constantine had met, establish Constantine as a mystic of some kind, bring everyone together over Sarah, and then restore her soul. It was a lot to ask for an hour slot. This would have been an 80-minute episode on FX.

Laurel should have more to answer for in bringing Sarah back. Laurel had no idea Sarah's soul could be restored and apparently was content letting Sarah roam around Star City killing people.

I wonder what the deal with that Diggle reveal was about. Was that a quick way to end that story avenue or will Diggle discover more connections to his brother's criminal empire?

What did Diggle's brother do? I missed it.

The Constantine stuff was pretty good. The fact that even he's scared of Damien Dark is a bad sign.

Implication was he was doing shady stuff in Afghanistan.

Constantine should be on the show more often and should be part of the Legends of Tomorrow team. He fit in perfectly and shows that the idiots at NBC missed the boat on the show.

Hell, you can't even get the show on video .

Constantine is really big cult character, but I think he's hard to sell in the mainstream as more than a guest star. The whole "supernatural detective" angle has been done to death on Supernatural etc, and I don't think his character's cynical sarcasm can sell, especially with an accent, which American TV tends to dread.

I don't know who I hate more Laurel or Thea, wish they both would go away and bring Constantine in, that is all

It's tough selling a British lead on American television. I think Constantine tends to work better when he has other strong characters he can bounce off with his sarcasm.

I think they dropped the ball with the spirit world. They could have done so much more with that.

They did the bring back a person back from the dead on Buffy. I hope it is done at least half as well on this show but I doubt it.

LOVED the subtle dig at NBC.... dead peacock feather.... lol.

I don't know much about Constantine, but couldn't they bring him on the new Lucifer show on FOX since it's all DC-verse?

Definitely one of those things where it would have been better not to know that was going on. Shame on us for reading the news.

Is he also the black guy on the island with Oliver in this season's flash backs. They showed his picture so briefly it was hard to tell. Similar look if it's not the same guy.

It's not like the fans didn't already know that Ray was still alive. We've all seen the Tomorrow previews.

I think that show is going to be completely cut off from DC/superhero lore. Lucifer was a Vertigo (owned by DC but really its own thing) property like Constantine, but Constantine always had marginal ties to the bigger DC comic book universe since he was such a popular character. Lucifer isn't really connected to the world of superheroes at all.

It would greatly surprise me if we ever got the wider DC universe characters on Lucifer.

It was really nice seeing John Constantine again. I'd much rather have him on Legends instead of the Hawkwoman character who has the charisma of a dead fish.

And Sarah dropping 20 pounds makes her almost unrecognizable.
