After everything she went through I am surprised she feels comfortable leaving the baby when she doesn't need to.

But I still really enjoy the show and its approach even if most everyone is an asshole.

Remember what her ex said to Noah, paraphrase "It wasn't Gabriel's death that broke her heart, she never had one." Pretty powerful statement. I don't know if I would agree this has been fitting description of Alison's character from the get go. It feels like it's added later on as they got notice the show has been picked up for another season.

By the way for any Six Feet Under fans, the dude who plays Max was Sarge on that show, the guy who played paintball and got with David and Keith.

You know, while it was very possible to guess individual elements of this finale, I never guessed it would've all gone down exactly like that. It was very well done, and now I cannot stand having to wait until season 3. Damn it.

A little convenient it went down with such precise timing and with the parties involved. That poor lawyer though.

I feel the same way, I wouldn't have guessed exactly how it played out, until of course right before it happened. Feel bad for Noah now but maybe he isn't the douche he had appeared to be

A supposed really expensive lawyer would have explained to Noah just because putting Detective Peters on the stand implicating Alison doesn't mean all of the sudden prosecution would immediately starting investigating Alison. I guess I didn't see the choice of putting Peters on the stand as a choice between Helen or Alison. Casting a shadow of doubt is a pretty standard procedure that a two bit lawyer would have/should have explained to his/her client. Much less to blur out admission in the "You can't handle the truth" style.
So what? Noah's perspective is going to the Orange is the New Black in season 3?

Overall tremendous 2nd season. Made the mistake of watching this first and then Homeland, which only made Homeland look even worse.

Wow, big mistake. I watched Homelad first, so this finale felt like a master piece.
It was a great finale. Writing was almost perfect.
Noah is a dick, but this is show is not a show with cartoon characters. You have an spectrum of emotions with each character.
Can't wait for season 3!

The only thing I kept asking myself was "Why on Earth would Helen be attending the wedding of Cole, the ex husband of the woman who ran off with her husband?"
Then it all became clear.
A contrivance, but a GREAT one! Really good season. And I dug Scotty's song too.
Then it all became clear.

Unless I missed something, the logistics of the accident didn't make sense to me.
So Noah and Helen leave the Lobster Roll drive away long enough to change drivers, then hit Scotty, who couldn't have wandered nearly as far from the restaurant as where Noah and Helen were with their car at that point. Right?

Yeah, but Alison got there and made it back seemingly right away. I mean, there's really just one road, so how could the be traveling on it, away from the restaurant and then come up on Scotty who would've been right near there without doubling back? Makes no sense.

I really enjoyed the season but I don't know what to think of the Season Finale. I'll have to watch it again as I wasn't expecting all the main characters to be involved in the hit and run or push, hit and run.

I can swallow the coincidence of the push/hit & run (mainly because I wasn't expecting it at all to go down like that) but what I didn't get is how distinctly different Noah and & Allison's memories were of how she told him the kid was not his. Those views were WAY off.

I think this situation goes along with that. Noah recalls her as coming clean and having a mature conversation with him about it (even though he was understandably angry and upset.) She recalls it as her feeling paralyzed and blurting it out with no eloquence (or even consequence from the way he just wandered off).
I think that Noah's perspective in this situation was probably more accurate.
