PHIL AND CAROL TAKE A ROAD TRIP ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF "THE LAST MAN ON EARTH" SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, ON FOX

Phil and Carol leave Tucson behind and strike out on their own in a road trip across the United States in the all-new "Is There Anybody Out There?" Season Two premiere episode of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH airing Sunday, Sept. 27 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LME-201) TV-14 D, L, S)

Cast: Will Forte as Phil Miller; Kristen Schaal as Carol Pilbasian

Currently slated for 13 episodes, but there is still the option for more should ratings warrant it. But Lord and Miller said they won't do a 22 episode season.

Really enjoyed binge watching this. Probably won't watch live and let it build up, but excited this is back.

Solid start to the new season. Not as laugh-out-loud funny as some prior episodes, but still got a good chuckle. Cruising around in the stealth bomber was a little hard to believe though they did manage to fit a 3rd tune in by The Kinks (Till the End of the Day). Is Wes Anderson involved w/this show?

Bravo!

The ending did indicate something dark happened. But the show is completely unpredictable. Black Phil did seem like the kind of guy who could do something bad. Or we might find out it was all innocent.

This is probably the show that I look forward to more than any other.

Hulu just signed a deal to be the exclusive streaming home of this show.

You can watch the entire first season in addition to new weekly episodes.

Loved it. I don't know why, but this show just slays me. Probably because of Forte. I don't think what happened in Tucson will be dark. It'll turn out to be something stupid that caused the fire, so they left town.

Good premiere. I caught that it was an Emco before he left her behind. So I was like "noooo, it's not a Speedy Pump!" Haha

I think the biggest laugh I had was when he was driving away listening to MIA and the gun shots were perfectly timed.

As for Tucson - if the fire was accidental, why not just move to another house / neighborhood? I bet there is another group - maybe bad. Actually, I hope they are bad.

That was awesome. I need to find a clip of that to send to show my husband. He doesn't watch this show but would appreciate the music reference.

I wondered why they didn't move into another home also. The preview does indicate he sees at least another person.

Great premiere - loved the 'back to basics' aspect of it. How many eps until Sudeikis tries that escape pod?

Caught up on this show in about 2 days. Really like it. I was never a big Will Forte guy. I feel like whenever I saw him he was playing some doof and I didn't expect anything from this show because I assumed he'd be playing the same character. Instead he's playing the asshole and I think it works great.

I don't think it'll be too dark either. My guess is that Black Phil did something that caused the fire and the group is out there somewhere hoping for the return of White Phil and Carol.

As much as they despised him. It would be cool to find out he was the one thing actually holding them all together. Once he left it all fell apart.

The show actually works better with Just Phil and Carroll.

Didn't black Phil once make a comment about Tucson being a less then ideal place to settle because of the climate and growing food?

Yes, he said exactly that and it's possible the fire happened and they decided to just leave Tucson.

But that wouldn't be as fun.

Phil destroying items in the White House seemed out of character since he previously collected art and artifacts.

The big news is that a virus killed everything off. That should still leave behind people hiding in military bunkers, people at sea, and isolated animal life besides the cow.
