While I think the show is still funny, it's missing something for me this season.

I do miss Holt a lot. The PR stuff isn't working for me at all.

Terry Crews in those fats suits was insane. But hooray, Holt is back!

I'm glad Holt is back in the 99, but why did they have him leave in the first place? All we got out of it was 4 mediocre episodes and no advance of the continuing storyline.

Continuing storyline? This isn't Breaking Bad. What continuing storyline were you hoping to see advanced?

Anyway, I thought the episodes were as good as any -- especially the funeral episode and the Mary Lynn Rajksub one episode. And we got a great Bill Hader guest shot and a couple of fun Dean Winters appearances.

And it did advance whatever continuing storyline the show does have. It furthered the Wunch-Holt feud, which they spent a whole year on (off and on), and Holt came back b/c Jake sacrificed something he valued b/c getting back Holt (a father figure of sorts) was more important.

I love the heist episodes, and this one was just as fun as the first two (though I thought it was blindingly obvious what happened to the crown when it disappeared from the trash)

This might have been my favorite episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Everything was coming fast and funny in the first two acts and then had a nice twist.

I thought Holt was a little out of character so I didn't really love this all that much. Rosa in action was fun though.

Re: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/15

Great episode. I really like the heist theme for the Halloween episodes. The "twist" was painfully obvious right away that I was expecting a twist on top of the twist. Something like Amy getting the crown only to have it taken by Scully and Hitchcock in the end.

The Holt and Terry handshake had me

Have never watched this show before, but have it a go for the Halloween night thing. It was funnier than I expected. I'll be back for next year.

Wait, so you enjoyed it but you'll only tune in for the Halloween episode next year? That's weird.

Anyway, thought this episode was great even if Amy was predictable. Loved both heists, Rosa pulling out a giant knife, and Holt's code name stuff.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely not normal. But I just rarely watch TV, but liked it enough to probably remember it's worth a viewing on special occasions.

Loved the episode but as soon as they left Amy out, I could see the twist coming.

I didn't feel he was out of character but he's growing to be like the rest of the cast. He's still his stiff self but he's letting loose once in a while like he did with the sergeant with the secret handshake.

It wasn't my favorite episode, but I really loved the little throw away moment of having Boyle singing the theme to Charles in Charge.

"The buffoonery is endless"

As usual I enjoyed capt Holt's story line more than the others.

I thought Holt was really going to have to fight to get back into leading the 99, and it was going to be this big episode, maybe a two-parter. It just seemed very anti-climactic. The whole thing felt really pointless. We did get a funny exchange between Jake and the Vulture though.
