Guys! It's SodoSopa. It stands for "South of downtown South Park". This is important!

The funniest moment for me was the look on Craig's face when he was called a homosexual and no one even flinched when it was said.

I missed the strongest moment the first time around. During the SodoSopa promo at the end, it shows the building project stalled out and SodoSopa already falling apart. Same thing happened in my part of town. In fact, they just demolished a few abandoned projects within the past year. Though some other projects are finally getting done.

Does anyone know if a new episode is on tonight? My dvr wasn't scheduled to record it, so I went it to set it manually and it shows the episode from a few weeks ago (9/16).

There will be no new episode, it seems. According to Comedy Central's website, there will be a re-airing of "Stunning and Brave." On South Park Studios, it says there will be a new episode on the 14th.

Thanks. That's what it shows on my dvr. I just wasn't sure if that was right or not.

Loved last night's episode, especially that song.

It's pretty accurate how shitty entitled people throw around their "yelp reviewer" status. I know of one restaurant owner that tossed out a patron when she mentioned she'd leave a bad review because they wouldn't kowtow to her every whim.

Oh my God. Great episode. Similarly, I've run an Ebay-based business for approximately 10 years. It's the same situation. It's soul-crushing and super stressful as soon as you get a negative feedback on your account.

The plot of the show was great, not terribly funny...until the song. Holy shit that was amazing.

Good episode. Song was gold. Almost as good as "whacking it in San Diego"

I've had this song stuck in my head all day. I hope I wasn't unknowingly singing it out loud at any point during the day...lol

Relevant topic this week and during most of the episode I kept wondering where they were going with it. Needless to say, the punchline was fantastic. Loved that song.

Yelp is suing South Park creators for $10 million over this episode.

Fucking pathetic.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of the popular animated series, were quick to issue a statement of their own.

“We’ve taken a hard look at the information presented to us, and after reviewing it, we have given Yelp and their lawsuit only one star. Their lawyers delivered us legal documents in a very unprofessional manner; not bothering to smile or even a quick handshake. The writing on the envelope was barely legible and in two different colors. It is our personal opinion that Yelp could do a much better job by not suing us for ten million dollars.”

shit, I just got had...

I don't really watch South Park. An episode here and there. But I would watch this episode. And the only reason I heard about is because of the lawsuit. So...

Yeah, I heard the streamed version had ads for Yelp, so Yelp was clearly on board with the episode.

The episode seems to make more fun of Yelp reviewers rather than Yelp itself.

Paff 10-21-15 04:18 PM

Re: South Park (Comedy Central) -- Season 19 Thread

Exactly. And I'd be willing to bet that Yelp feels the same way about many of the reviewers that Matt and Trey does, in that people were using their Yelp reviewer status as an excuse for the boorish behavior. Which ultimately makes Yelp look bad. I doubt, like many of the South Park Shi Pta Town Yelpers, that real Yelp reviewers will think that this episode was talking about them specifically, but it's worth a try.

I didn't mind the charity-shaming jokes but South Park now appears to care more about making their commentary points than writing funny lines.

Laughed quite a bit this episode, especially when Randy had to go through the checkout line. "press the homeless boy's stomach to confirm that you won't donate a $1 to hungry children" or "pull the sandwich out of the hungry girl's mouth to get your change"
