Very true. i thought she was being pretty specific, apparently not enough.
Yeah the first lady knew about the affair with Olivia. Hell the first lady threw Olivia at Fitz at that White House party a few episodes back. The affair with Olivia is why the first lady was pissed: as conscious said, if Olivia was still banging the president, Amanda wouldn't have stood a chance. The logic is sound but jacked up in so many ways.

Olivia made Huck promise not to kill the VP CoS and he didn't: he had someone else kill him (at least that's the assumption but we don't know for sure). Technically he kept his promise but like I said, you have to be more specific especially when dealing with folks who have a flexible sense of morality.

This show doesn't skimp on the twists, that's for sure.

at how the First Lady said she'll take of everything herself now....and by 'everything,' she means it.

Scandal -- Season Premiere -- "White Hats Off" -- 9/27/12

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
"White Hat's Off" - Quinn's identity is finally revealed, and the more the Pope & Associates team learn about her past, the more they realize she could be their biggest scandal yet. Meanwhile, a senator seeks Olivia's help when his personal life is about to become a public disgrace, and President Fitz is stuck between a rock and hard place when Mellie and Cyrus put him in a very compromising position during a live television interview, on the sophomore season premiere of "Scandal," THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

13 episode order for now. If it does well, it may get more. Hey at least we're getting more than 7. This show was a surprise for me in Spring. Got surprisingly really good.

FYI, some cast news.

Bellamy Young, who played the POTUS's wife, is now a regular.

Henry Ian Cusick was dropped from the show

Josh Malina is now a regular.

Re: Scandal -- Season Premiere -- "White Hats Off" -- 9/27/12

Ok didn't see that ending coming at all...WTF? Now I want to know what happened two years ago and what strings did Pope have to pull to get that verdict.

I know she's pregnant and all but I still want to strangle the wife. Really, you're going to basically force him to go to war on national TV using pregnancy hormones as a rationale? I know POTUS here needs to grow a backbone but war is serious, you want a president that's going to take a few minutes before sending troops into any situation, jeez.

Yeah, that was one hell of twist at the end. Should be very interesting to see how everything went down to lead up to that point.

I thought the president's rant to his wife was interesting.

Because yes it was highly insulting but at the same time, boy did she deserve it for what she pulled. But you hear something like that at any other time and you'd be screaming for his head on a platter.

Not quite on the level of POLITICAL ANIMALS, but still a solid show - great to have it back!

This show certainly delivers the twist endings - that's for sure. Heck, they have more twists per episode than any other show I watch. Really loving it.

Well the conspiracy just keeps getting deeper and deeper. How long will it take Malina's character to piece everything together and get himself into even more trouble?

David Rosen and Abby had better tow the line or the oil guy might blow them up real good.

The tension between Cyrus and his husband should be fun to watch and Huck on a date was cute in a creepy sort of way.

Holy shit, the POTUS got shot. That last scene was totally unexpected. The scene is in the video above. I loved how the episode ended so abruptly.

Saw the ratings for Scandal were a season high last night.

Re: Scandal -- Thursdays (ABC)

I was hoping this episode would get a thread because OMG that ending! That came out of nowhere. I wonder whether the first lady was in on the assassination plot given how she was acting in the car. Does anyone think the oil guy didn't engineer this?

It was only a matter of time before the assassination attempt episode. Can't have a presidential show w/o that.

Bizarre that they jumped a year ahead in the middle of a season.

The original production order was for 13 episodes, same as season 1. ABC decided to increase the order midway through, so this is what they would have done during a season 3, I imagine.

Season 1 was only 7 episodes.

Shonda Rhimes said it was alot tougher to write season 2 because she essentially had to construct 2 separate story arcs
