^ Any reason for the pedobear? Not sure how it has anything to do with the discussion.

The season finale was pretty good. I liked Alex's scene with Phil about being sexually active, which resulted in her silently backing out of the room.

Yay. More Ariel Winter chest talk.
Me, I thought the season finale was rather weak. There was the forementioned Alex sneak-out, which was amusing, and I also laughed when Phil referred to her "surprise pop-in" and her reaction to that line. But overall it was a mess. The Haley/Andy airport scene didn't have the emotional impact intended, as there were what, maybe 4 episodes tops that even dealt with their relationship this year? In fact, they really wasted the character of Haley this year. Past seasons they've dealt with her education, failures at education, attempts at finding her place in life, etc. But nothing this year. Now, I'll admit I'm biased by her looks and would watch a Modern Family spin-off that consisted of Sarah Hyland in a short skirt reading names out of the phone book for 30 minutes. But I also think she does have good comedic timing and the character of Haley is an interesting one. Not season 7 though.
And Joe. Ugh. For everyone that's complained about Lily, I'll take an entire season of Lily-centered episodes vs. watching that child actor who plays Joe lazy-R his way through the ending of Casablanca even just one more time. Man, that was just sadistic to the viewers.

Didn't really care for this one. Usually I love the Phil-centric plot lines, but the kids are no longer cute since they are now young adults. I enjoy when Luke and Manny awkwardly chase girls but when any of the kids actually succeed is uncomfortable for me. I feel like Phil does in those scenes and they aren't even my kids. Go ahead, take my man card away. It bothers me.
As for Hayley I think they've milked the drunken, party girl, Andy, Dylan plot lines to death. They need a new arc for her.
You are right about Joe. I've never seen a group that is more inept at picking child actors than this crew. The kids were great, but two rotten Lilly's and a crappy Joe. Zero for 3 in my book at choosing little ones.
I did have the same conversation about double clicking vs. clicking twice with my mother a few years back

The back and forth between Hayley and Andy sucks. They should just have them get hitched and be done with it.

Are you really trying to suggest that nobody in these threads have ever suggested she looked better before her breast reduction (before she was 18?)

Are you really trying to suggest that Modern Family threads never devolved into discussions of Ariel Winters body before she turned 18?

If you don't like the talk, you can either ignore the posts... or avoid the thread. Your choice.

I think that may have been an Onion headline once:

If those tattoos are permanent I see her wearing a lot of long sleeves this season. She is hitting a real rebellious stage. Her home life must still be all f'ed up

Yeah, that's definitely for a movie. Although I really don't know what you guys see in her. There's far prettier young women on television. Including on the very same show she appears in.
