Loved it. I wasn't planning on watching it, but saw one commercial last week and gave it a shot.

This is what MTV's Scream wished it could be. That show was terrible

I have a friend who reminds of Grace, so that's a bonus haha

I can relate to this. In fact, if I had 4 30-minute episodes of some show taped, I'd be more inclined to binge them than watching a single 2-hour episode. I guess it's the commitment factor; if you start watching something, you want to finish it in one sitting. Better chance of that happening with a 30-minute ep than a 2-hour.

As for Scream Queens, I don't think I'll be a regular viewer. I watched both eps tonight, and it was a chore to sit through. Jamie Lee Curtis was fantastic, but everything else fell flat. The horror element isn't scary enough, the comedy element isn't funny enough.

I'm guessing the character of Boone is a nod to Animal House, especially with the golfing scene?

This is a really fun show so far. I thought it was much better than MTV's Scream, even though I liked that one too.

I though the pacing was great. It moved along really fast. The 90-minute pilot seemed like a regular horror movie, unlike MTV's Scream which moved so slow it was like a horror movie dragged out over 10 episodes. I think there were more deaths in this pilot than in Scream's entire season.

Murphy and Company did the same thing with American Horror Story's first couple seasons, where they sprint with so much stuff that they ultimately end up with 3 or 4 poor episodes to end the season.

I was expecting more from this one. It was just a little too over the top. I'm planning to rewatch it with a friend who asked me to record it for her, so maybe my opinion will soften once I see it again knowing the tone.

I'm in the same boat. I thought this had nearly a perfect balance between horror and comedy... perhaps Ariana Grande texting was a bit too far on the comedy side, but with some of today's teens may be it's not *that* farfetched.

They covered a lot of ground here, so now I'm curious how they will keep momentum going over the 13 episodes or whatever this season is.

One and done for me. I'm not sure what tone they were aiming for here but I didn't think they found it. That whole tweeting while your being murdered thing....I dunno.

They were going for satire there, it was a bit heavy handed.

I thought Scream had a better mix of humor, melodrama and horror.

This was trying way hard to be clever and the bitchiness of the characters got old real fast. One or two characters in a movie is fine but when every character has the same snarky attitude it gets annoying. Plus the kills are handled in the same jokey way undercutting any suspense. Maybe the characters will evolve and become more likable but right now I don't care who gets killed next.

Couldn't disagree more as far as the pacing is concerned. I felt like they rushed things way too much and there wasn't any room for the show to breathe. I mean, we saw six characters die (two in flashbacks) in the span of two hours. It just felt a little bloated to me.

I did appreciate the satire of horror tropes (running toward the danger, suspicious looks from everyone) and updating it for today's modern youth (social media, texting). That stuff I thought was effective, but I wasn't a fan of the obvious stereotypes. It felt like the writers were beating us over the head saying, "look at us, we're edgy!" It reminded me of the later seasons of Glee where being offensive wasn't really satirical anymore, but just mean-spirited.

As god awful as Glee became, I can't'/won't invest another minute into a Murphy show.

The first two episodes are up for free on iTunes and Vudu if anyone missed it and want to give it a shot. I plan on watching it on Vudu later.

Jamie Lee Curtis is obviously playing the Sue Sylvester type in this show, but I actually appreciate that at least here, they have already hinted at why she has it in for the sorority.

What got so annoying on Glee was how over-the-top Sue was. She seemed to only hate the choir kids because she was a bitch.

Seriously.

Carrie Fisher's daughter isn't too bad looking either. But her voice is eh.

It was bugging me where I remembered her from and IMDB reminded me it was the short-lived ABC Family show "The Nine Lives of Chloe King".

I am probably the only person that watched it.

I will lose all faith in humanity if Scream Queens becomes a hit and survives longer than one season. At the very least, Ryan Murphy did me the courtesy of making it terrible from the start so I don't have to hang on for three more awful seasons after one good debut season.

This was shrill, dumb garbage. I gave up about ten minutes into the second episode. Fox clearly gave them carte blanche to throw-up any wacky idea the producers wanted in the show.

Watching the maid get burned by hot oil made me cringe, since I burned my arm with hot oil earlier this year (about 25% of my arm burned). The horror!

I really enjoyed this, it was just a slasher loving horror hoot. I was skeptical at first, but it won me over very quick. Curtis was also really amazing to watch.

I am bummed about this going up again iZombie when it comes back. Ugh.

I got as far as the new girl meeting her roommate and shut it off. Just couldn't get into it at all. It wasn't even that I disliked all the sorority girls so much I wanted to see them die in horrible ways. It was that I disliked them so much I didn't want to see them at all.

so it's 'Mean Girls' meets 'Scream' - I thought it was a hoot...

the tweet/murder scene to me was hysterical.

I would assume the body count is going to mount as the season progresses, hope Murphy and his SFX folk can push the gore to levels seen in 'Hannibal's TV-14 realm - and some of that was ultra-nasty.

This is one of the worst shows I've seen in a long time. I have no other notes, except that every second was worse than the one that preceded it.

Atleast one person will die in each episode is what I've read.
