I finally watched this one online and I really liked it. One of the better episodes of the last two seasons.

Castle is still damned entertaining. Lots of good stuff in this episode.

I can see Kate getting busted right back down to Detective for going off the grid and going rogue, though. We'll see how that plays out.

And I love having both the darker, more serious episodes several times each season to balance out the lighthearted stuff. Most of my favorite episodes are the darker ones, but not all of them.

I agree, was much better than I expected!

Was very pleased with the hit squad leads. Both were very capable and genuinely intimidating. Plus the shootout twist at the end was a nice twist.

Sorry, but Alexis is beyond annoying now. She just waltz into an interrogation room and active crime scene with swat personnel?!

I'm not familiar with the British lady, but I liked her character. Wouldn't mind if she stayed around.

Oh Rick. Why can't you keep off the pounds?

She played Jackie Joyner-Kersee on The Neighbors several years ago. She was a highlight on that show, and I really enjoyed her performance on Castle. There were hints that she was involved in some larger conspiracy. Perhaps it will extend beyond next weeks conclusion.

A lot to like, and a lot to find hard to believe. Good entertainment, good action. 2 Thumbs down on Alexis being able to get VIP treatment. They've been together 7 years and her first day as captain she goes all rogue and bails?

I really liked episode 2, except for the very end. It was deja vu all over again. Felt a little too much, "Been there, done that," at the very end. The rest of the episode was good, but...

With the way the second episode ended, it felt like a season finale, not a second part of a premiere. Despite that, I really enjoyed both episodes.

They were mostly fun episodes, but my eyes nearly rolled out of my head when Alexis took the video screenshot from the reflection in the mirror and did the 'enhance' magic on it.

That reminds me--last season they had that woman who did a lot of the tech analysis for them. I wonder if she'll be back.

I kinda hated the end of the two-parter. It was very been there done that with Kate's BS obsessions but the thing that really annoyed me was the scenes for episode three where Castle talks about winning her back. Come on, he's got to know what she's doing and why she's doing it and he should have told her in no uncertain terms that they were either going to do it together or apart and that at least one of them would get killed that way but the blood would be on her hands. Tired of Castle being written as a dullard and a wuss too. He used to do manly things like punch out sniper mercenaries and defuse dirty bombs now everybody has to look out for him, even his barely out of her teens daughter. He ought to forget Kate, she's only in their relationship until the next shiny distraction.

Enjoyed the conclusion to the 2-parter. I liked seeing this episode from Kate's perspective that covered her being mostly MIA last week.

A little disappointing that they went the route of Kate leaving Castle while she goes through this new quest. I'm sure most long-time Castle fans are unhappy with what transpired. Doesn't really make sense since they still have to see each other when Castle does help the NYPD on cases.

He's the one who saved the day at the end in the office, popping the gun out of the desk and shooting the bad guy. Everybody has their moments.

Didn't stop me. Sure, I'll go with the mirror bit to the extent you could tell it's a redacted document. But enhancing it to read the word, and then unsmudgee and entire word... I guess it's possible since the hotel had 4K cameras.

Thought it was a fun light-hearted episode tonight.

Loved Castle playing professor and then playing beer pong and getting wasted.

Castle's not a stupid guy, you would think he could read Kate better and figure out this whole tension thing is just an act.

I think I know what the writers are doing. They are trying to go back when Castle and Beckett had a more professional relationship back in seasons 1-2 probably to try to keep things from getting stale. As a long-time fan of this show and a supporter of Castle-Beckett, I think I and others would be really frustrated the longer they drag this out.

The wife and I both agree that recent ep, "The Nose", was the best ep in a long while. Very amusing.

Yeah The Nose was great. Still annoyed with Kate and Rick's separation. I hope it gets resolved sooner than later.

Weird that Castle took 2 full weeks off so early in the season. Weird scheduling by ABC.
