What the hell has changed? Eph and Nora have developed a vampire-killing virus but done nothing with it. Angel has been introduced and done nothing. Eldritch has fallen in love with Coco, which hasn’t affected his plan with the Master at all. There’s now a love triangle between Fet, Dutch and Nicki, and it’s boring as hell. The Master has a new body, and achieved nothing with it. Gus is working with a new vampire-hunting vampire, and they have achieved nothing.
Kinda have to agree with this! And as a book reader that really enjoyed the books it really IS going nowhere(for now..). i really don't get why they needed to stretch things out to make 5 season..

To be fair, the Mad Max prequel comics were pretty bad. As was the difference in that Game of Thrones change being really unnecessary.

But yeah, this is just going no where. How can a show be this boring? It was 100% filler.

Didn't the Mad Max prequel comics have the involvement of the key storyboard artist and one of the screenwriters?

Very creepy episode. One of the stronger installments this season.

The scenes with Dutch and Eichorst in the hotel had a very horror movie vibe to it.

I also liked the backstory of Eichorst. It almost made me feel some pity for him. Sucked to see how spiteful he was against Helga in that scene after she rejected him earlier for embracing the Nazi rhetoric.

Yes, not to mention Miller doing the plotting.

All of Max's visions in the film were characters in the prequel comics.

I wouldn't go as far as ugly, but not everybody is into the dirty raccoon look. Which reminds me, shouldn't she at least look a little cleaner after that romp in the pool?

Hmmmm, not while there's a vampire apocalypse going on. Granted, the pool romp was needed, because it's a pool. I think the smokey eye look is dope.

About what? Just saying that if you think Ruta is ugly then you've got issues.

:
The comments were about the character, not the actress. This is a perfect example of where that can make a big difference.

Far as I know people still have working showers in this Strain universe.

Whenever I think about the actress, I find it amusing if she'd marry Lou Bega.

The problem I have with shows like this is the main cast is for all intents and purposes immortal. The scene with Dutch was devoid of the tension it should have had because in the end we know that nothing can happen to her. The fact that she was able to escape unscathed from that situation was both absolutely ludicrous and at the same completely expected.

It just made no sense. Be caught her, just drink. Why drag her back up to the room.

He'd more or less fully assimilated the Nazi ideology at that point.

Not that I'm aware of. But I know women who swear it makes semen taste better. Google it...

That said, I did think it was funny that he used pineapple to "season" her.

This show handles the flashback backstories very well

Not too much and when it's relevant
