Mack was one of my favorite characters on the show. I thought his death was mostly pointless as he was one of the better characters on Z Nation. I will probably be checking out soon on this series. They kept Citizen Z around and it appears this season will once again be all about Murphy. He's a funny character but he's starting to get overused.

The only characters worth keeping are Doc, Murphy, and maybe 10k. The rest should precede to get killed off.

I was sad by Mack's death. I liked him much more than Addy, wish she would have been killed off. I'm guessing with Mack dead, the writers will eventually pair Addy and Citizen Z, ugh.

Just now catching up on a few weeks ... Wow. While Mack never really did much (other than be an anchor for Addy), I thought that death was heart wrenching. It certainly came out of nowhere in what was an otherwise pretty boring episode.
As for Addy ... Please keep her and and give her a little something more to do. She alternates back and forth from being emotionally damaged to being a bad ass. Mack's death probably won't help that.
I really enjoyed Season 1, but so far S2 is stuttering out of the gate.

I thought the episode with Z weed was a lot of fun and had the right kind of energy for this show. The new radioactive zombies make for much better villains than the regular zombies.

^I generally agree. I think the show has really figured out what it wants to be and is doing it pretty well. Good mix of humor, violence, and occasional just plain silliness. It helps a lot that the show is very self-aware and doesn't try to be the next great American zombie drama.

Oh my god, literally. I knew what would happen once they seen that cheese wheel. The ending was also obvious but oh so fun. Loved this zombie jesus episode.

Springfield, IL! That was so NOT Springfield. Loved the fictional Abraham Lincoln Look-Alike Contest, though they missed an opportunity to shoot at least one of them in the back of the head.
Sorry to see Not-Cassandra go, but the character was going nowhere.
After a few weeks of down episodes, this week seems to have started to move back on track. Sorry, but the zombabie was potentially a jump-the-sharknado moment. At least she's (hopefully) out of the picture for awhile.
Speaking of out of the picture ... Where has Citizen Z been?
What is the group's plan/mission now?

Murphy must have said something to the couple to convince them to take the baby. I guess we'll find out what later on.

Baron/Eric, I think he turned the couple into not Cassandras...it looked like they had the same facial marks as the semi zombified Cassandra.

^That. They both had the bite mark on their cheek (like Cassandra did).
Which actually asks more questions than it answers ... He seems to be losing his mind control ability on zombies, but now he can control people (when he bites them)?
They are working their way back east, so I don't think they are trying to get to California anymore. Admittedly, I really zoned out during a number of episodes so I may have missed some critical information.

I thought they were only temporarily going east to avoid radiation?

He bit the couple. I think he's only losing his ability due to the baby being more controlling. It's kind of hinted that the baby is manipulating the Z's now. I figure without the baby around Murphy would be able to control zombies alright, but who knows.
As for going East; they were trying to get further from the radiation and go around it. So we'll likely start heading North before long and then back East.

I got behind on this show and got caught up on the last few episodes last night. I'm glad Cassandra is gone. The zombie baby storyline isn't too bad. The baby will find a way to get revenge on Murphy.

I don't know if I "get" the shifting aspect ratios in the last half of the show. The 10K/Cassandra fight was in framed in 2:35, as was the episode "tag" with the couple, and another section in between looked like it was 1:85 (a slight black bar at the top, -its a framing often used on Turner Classic Movies. I was into the story enough that I didn't really notice it until the end, and then I "rewound" and caught it.

Too much Z-Weed, dude. Lay off.
Actually I didnt notice that so cant really comment. I myself just caught up on the last 3 episodes.
Cassandra was going nowhere so while the group gets smaller, oh well.
Baby zombie was dumb. Ok not entirely but I know I wasn't going to like it so I think they did good by introducing it and then quickly removing it.

No Z-Nation talk? OK, so an alien episode? I think they finally jumped the shark 1,000,000x over. Interesting this is they have an alien gun now. They can go a lot of weird places with that...

I meant to rewatch this episode because I think I missed part of it. What was the deal with the cult lady? How was she teleporting all over the place?

They didn't answer that, with many other questions. Very strange episode. We'll see if they actually still have a working alien gun next episode...
