Documentary Now! (IFC) - Series Thread - S: Hader, Armisen
Documentary Now! (formerly American Documentary) is set to honor the best-told stories about the people and events that have captivated audiences for decades in a six-episode series premiering Thursday, August 20 at 10:00pm ET/PT on IFC. Documentary Now! will have appearances by Jack Black (The D Train, Tenacious D), John Slattery (Mad Men, Wet Hot American Summer), iconic music manager Irving Azoff and SNL's Aidy Bryant, Mike O'Brien, Paula Pell, and Tim Robinson.

I will check it out and hope it is better than the Spoils Before Dying.

This was great.
I literally laughed out loud when "she" fell through the ceiling. And the shot of the possum walking down the stairs was hilarious.
I loved how they combined Grey Gardens and
too. I hope the rest of the episodes are this good.

I saw the episode that mocks VICE. It was really funny. I have last night's episode on the dvr. Looking forward to watching it.

There comes a point when parody goes too far and it's too close to the real subject. This is one of those cases. Completely predictable and not at all funny to me.

I felt the complete opposite. It was funny because of how close they got it. I'm not sure I can watch Grey Gardens again without picturing Hader and Armisen in those roles. I also loved the way it built up to the Blair Witch style ending. Near perfect parody for me. The show is 2 for 2 for me.

I loved the ending of the first ep, didn't expect it to go in that direction
The second episode seemed wrong but was hilarious

I missed the first episode but was able to download the second episode on demand (weird). I thought it was terrific. Looking forward to catching a repeat of episode one.

To avoid any more confusion, only one episode has aired (Sandy Passage/Grey Gardens). Episode 2 (Dronez/Vice) was released early on IFC's website and will air this coming Thursday. No one has missed an episode.

Sandy Passage was hilarious. I didn't expect it to go where it did and got a kick out of it. I'm probably in for the season.

For those wondering (like myself) why Dronez didn't air last night. They postponed it a week due to the recent shooting in Virginia. I didn't particularly care for the episode that aired last night (Kanuk).

Yeah, I figured Dronez wouldn't air since one of the running gags is about reporters getting shot. Hopefully that episode airs, it's easily the best of the first 3 and hilarious in its own right.

I couldn't get through the first one Sandy Gardens it was too spot on or something, just didn't click for me.
Have Kunuk on the dvr, guess I'll watch it but hope it's better than Sandy Beaches.

Dronez aired last night and it was pretty good. I can see why they pulled it since it was practically a splitting image of the tragedy that happened a couple weeks ago.

I'm not necessarily a fan of pulling/delaying shows and movies due to current events, but in this overly sensitive environment we all seem to live in, I can at least see why they did it.
Now, why the Mr. Robot season finale was delayed a week, I have no idea.

There was a marathon yesterday and my DVR recorded the episodes. I enjoyed the Dronz episode and the episode about the wrongful conviction documentary.
