Animals live comfortably around the Trinity test site and atolls we blew up with H-bombs, but they still urge humans to avoid completely, or only make brief visits with radiation badges.

Don't forget the genius of going to Antarctica in the first place in order to study such cold weather species as sea gulls and doves. That mercifully short sub-plot has got to be the most WTF moment so far in what promises to be an epic WTF series.

I just binged the first five episodes.
This really reminds me of Torchwood: Miracle Day -- the world-changing conspiracy, the pharmaceutical company behind it all, the McGuffin (the "Mother Cell" on Zoo, "The Blessing" on Miracle Day)

Ridiculous rip off of Aliens with the rats. Looking in the ceiling with flashlight then a swarm coming toward them. Then, looking for the rat queen. Come on.

I'm pretty sure this show was an attempt by CBS to capture the indefinable magic that is Under the Dome in another show.
I don't mind this show when the team is together but the entire ex-wife sub-plot with the sick kid drags every time it comes on. I have resorted to skipping those scenes.
That is pretty incredible. No one posts in this thread for a week and it gets two posts independent of each other within a minute.

I don't know if I'm the last man standing with this show but "Zoo" continues to delight in ways one wouldn't expect from a major network program. How can you make a typical Louisiana house look like it's in Africa? Easy, slap some palm fronds on the roof. If you can't afford to rent a leopard cub how about using a serval kitten instead? Some shows are so bad they're good. This isn't one of them but it is so bad that it makes for oddly refreshing viewing.
I also came up with a "Zoo" drinking game for teetotalers -- every time Chloe blinks take a drink. If you're lucky you'll take one or two sips throughout the entire show.

^spot on description of the show, and yeah, Chloe is intense.
I lol'd when we saw the 'leopard' cub.

I've been delighted by the goofy fun that is Zoo. I was so sad when the writers last episode made it clear the "defiant pupil" name was being replaced by a much more sensible name. Chloe went from being a fugitive wanted for murder to head of some secret government agency in about a day.

That was a strange season finale. Introduce several new characters and jump the story a few months in time. I am guessing that CBS played interference on the last few episodes, the tone has started shifting to CBS's cookie-cutter action template.

If animals are using military tactics, wouldn't rats quickly destroy humanity?
Also, people are afraid to eat meat yet Reiden also screwed with global agriculture.
And why didn't the military team in Zambia have flamethrowers to ward off birds?

So Jamie was in a coma or something in that old guy's place for like, several months? The 'leopard cub' went from the size of a house cat to a full grown leopard while she was unconscious. It makes no sense.
It seemed pretty stupid of Jackson to go walking around the streets on his own, when pretty much everyone else knew to stay inside to avoid becoming dog chow.
Were they in DC there at the end? Where did all those African animals come from? Looked like way too many to have been all zoo escapees.
Such a silly show, but I do like the cast so I would be in for another season. Sounds like it's on the bubble.

That finale seemed like it was for a completely different show. It didn't make a lick of sense and wasn't even goofy enough to be entertaining.

I like the show but it is a bit out there which seems to be the new norm.

It certainly wrapped nothing up. It was filler to push for either a second season or at least a movie to provide "closure." However, it was so disappointing that I prefer cancellation to closure. I have deleted my season pass to prevent accidental recording in case it happens to arise from the dead.

They didn't explain her disappearance very well. All we know is that she hung out with that guy for several months and the cub grew up.
