I can't believe this is already in Season 7.

I know; I just wish the seasons were longer. This means there will either be a lot of off weeks or the show will end before the summer is over. I'd love it if the show started in June and aired every week until Sept.

I say this is the nicest sense possible: this is my favorite piece of summertime lifestyle porn/show to fold laundry to.

This evening I finally watched the last two episodes of season 6 to get caught up for this new season. Oof. That Autotrader scene has got to be one of the worst instances of product placement that I've ever encountered. Very, very clunky.

USA Network gives its viewers one last dose of ROYAL PAINS when the hit drama airs its eighth and final season beginning Wednesday, May 18 at 10pm ET/PT with eight all-new episodes. The esteemed summer series, from Universal Cable Productions and creator and executive producer Andrew Lenchewski and executive producer Michael Rauch, has captivated a loyal fan base and consistently ranked as a top 10 series across all key demos on its night for all seven seasons. In its final season, ROYAL PAINS will celebrate the distinguished honor of crossing the 100th episode milestone midway through the season, and will also include a visit to Hong Kong and a unique musical episode featuring several new and returning guest stars.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 18

ROYAL PAINS - "Stranger Danger" - 10pm/9c *SEASON PREMIERE*

Hank treats a politician while Jeremiah enlists Divya's help. Hank and Evan react very differently when Eddie returns to the Hamptons, and Divya's future plans hit a roadblock.
8th and final season starts tonight, 5/18/16.

Re: Royal Pains (USA) - Series Thread

Well, we're halfway through season 8. Spoilers below up through episode 4:

So Divya's very pregnant. I usually think she's pretty hot, but this kind of kills it for me. Definitely not my fetish. I know--I'm shallow.

Glad they wrapped the Boris storyline up early, but I never found it very interesting.

The dad (Henry Winkler) goes MIA again. I wonder if he'll show up before the end. They mention the sister in passing, but I doubt we'll see her again.

Evan and Paige are still annoying. I have no interest in their quest for children, though I wonder if they'll end up taking in the girl and her younger brothers whose parents are gone.

Jeremiah looks like he may be getting a new love interest, in the fantasy author he treats in the latest episode. They seem like a good match. I recognize the actress--probably from a lot of other tv guest roles--but I don't know her name. Reminds me a little of Mary Louise Parker.

The ultimate goal seems to be to find a 'happily ever after' romantic partner for Hank, and they keep teasing us with possibilities. There's the blond milf, but he doesn't seem to take her too seriously. I was pleasantly surprised to see Constance Wu (the mom from Fresh Off the Boat) as his love interest in one episode, but she's out of the picture. Then, in this latest episode, we have the return of Jill! Man, she is so beautiful--I was really disappointed when she left the show. I think of all of Hank's love interests over the years, she was the best. Unfortunately, she's gone again. Her goodbye to Hank at the end felt pretty final... but then there was a little tease with the reveal of Hans's orientation and a lingering, longing look between Hank and Jill as her taxi pulls away... maybe Hank ultimately goes off to be with her in Africa or wherever?

In this latest episode (4), Hank was treating a young woman in the ER and I didn't recognize her but it felt an awful lot like one of the show's pointless, shameless celebrity cameos. Anyone know who that was?

Thanks; I had no idea who she was either but it was painfully clear that she wasn't an actress.

Gonna miss this show when it ends. Pretty stale story lines lately but I enjoy the Hamptons setting each summer.

Oh man, this week's "musical" episode was painful to watch. Hopefully the series finale next week will be more satisfying.

Re: Royal Pains (USA) - Series Thread

I really didn't care for it. And this episode reminded me that I really have hated most of the storyline involving their dad Eddie Lawson. I like seeing Henry Winkler, but I hated his whole character where he shows up, fucks things up, then amends things between his sons, then disappears. I really had hoped the Boris storyline would have taken longer and had a more spy type of aspect to it. But overall, it was a fun show. I won't really miss it though.
