Yeah. I got a good laugh at that too.

The Flash is one of the few network shows each week that feels like it needs another fifteen minutes of screen time to fully tell its story. Scenes are often cut short and written as shortcuts to save on time so they can cram everything in. It's a good problem to have, since so many network shows that run an hour feel like they should only run 45 minutes.

No, I think it's adding something tone wise that isn't needed, and IMO, isn't welcome.

The believably is in question on this show for other reasons covered multiple times in previous threads. ;)

My only very slight niggle with this show is that Reverse Flash could have killed both Firestorm and Arrow before they even realized they were being attacked. But I let it go, Flash and Reverse Flash's power is so ridiculous if you stop and think about it that it sort of makes any battle pointless.

I think Flash would have gotten in the way before that ever happened. One thing I was disappointed by is they didn't have a clear shot of Flash and Reverse Flash fighting hand to hand. All we really saw were the motion streaks.

 I liked her confirming that Star Labs definitely needs a new security guard.

That's because they only run 45 minutes.

I have to let that go as well since there is no way anyone with normal speed would be a threat no matter how trained they are. Even being shot with an arrow should not work as he could move the fraction of a second he felt it hit him.

I do wonder how he was able to vibrate when the nanonites (yep) took away his speed which means he should not be able to vibrate fast.

Could he have? At this point, Reverse Flash is much faster.

But isn't Reverse Flash's power fading, like it's not a part of him and he has to rely on a device? There was a moment where he couldn't use it suddenly. Is that no longer an issue?

Yeah, he has no access to the Speed Force, for some reason. So he has to charge himself like a battery. Which is why he stole the accelerator device and also had that battery in his chair.

Re: The Flash (S1E22) -- "Rogue Air" -- 5/12/15

So without the accelerator device, he has no super speed, right?

Re: The Flash (S1E22) -- "Rogue Air" -- 5/12/15

Well that can't be right. Cisco had it in the lab didn't he? If so R. Flash still fought Flash, Arrow & Firestorm without it. Maybe without the device he doesn't have that second gear that leaves the Flash in the dust.

Also, what happened to Gideon? Did I miss something? Did Wells deactivate it/her? If not why isn't the gang trying to get all kinds of info on Eobard, R.Flash and the future?

It's actually down around 40-42 minutes these days. I was including commercials in the hour running time. If Flash played on FX, I have a feeling the show would frequently run longer than the broadcast hour.

No. He won't lose his speed immediately. But he will run out of juice if he pushes himself too hard. That said, who knows how much he charged himself once he got the other device and used it alongside the "battery"?

Re: The Flash (S1E22) -- "Rogue Air" -- 5/12/15

Most of the comic book readers understand how Reverse Flash's power works and its limitations. The show has kind of avoided going into specifics about the basis of Flash's power and how Reverse Flash's speed works differently.

I won't reveal the difference here since I think it could become a plot point down the line.

joe slowly going around the corner with his gun when going to check on the accelerator was laughable. What did he expect to do against someone with super speed?
