Re: Bates Motel (S3E7) - "The Last Supper" - 4/20/2015
Norman has really turned the corner into full fledged creep/crazy person. The scene with him and James in the basement and Norman asking how Norma was reached a new level of creepy. Then him going full blown crazy when James suggested that he wanted to sleep with her. Of course the end scene with Norman in Norma's room looking over her like he really did want her and stroking her thigh...ugh.
Also I get the feeling that Caleb is going to get killed. My guess is he'll go on the gun run for the mountain man to stop Dylan from doing so and will be killed in doing so. Dylan will probably still get the money and try to help Emma get a lung transplant.
I also can see a relationship developing between Dylan and Emma. The chemistry seems to be there and I think she's realizing that Norman isn't who she wants him to be and is probably freaked out by him. I also could see Norman eventually killing Dylan when he realizes they're together. Norma and Alex seem like they could end up together too. I think Norman pushed James far away after what happened in tonight's episode.

I thought this was the best episode of the series. Really really makes Norma sympathetic and Norman has moved into malevolence. Just super well done. Farmiga so deserves an Emmy for this season.

I enjoyed seasons one and two, but season 3 of Bates Motel has just been fantastic at a whole different level.

Norman had his Michael Corleone Godfather Part 2 moment alone at the table.

True, but I think it was the depth and development in Seasons 1 and 2 that are paying off so awesomely right now. Great season and an amazing episode.

I interpret that dinner as the last moment of sanity. From here on out everything goes nuts.
Quite the twist with Romero. Wasn't expecting anything close to that.

I agree
I wish Norma would ditch the trashy blonde look and go back to her season 1 hair color.

Yeah. Things have started spiraling out of control just over the past few episodes. I think things are going to take a turn for the worse by the end of the season.

This was a chilling episode at times, Norman is losing any semblance of sanity by this point. I even thought it was a touching moment (Is this a pun? You decide!
) for such a twisted family when Norma invited her brother to dinner.
I think dropping the high school setting was a stroke of genius for this season.

I agree with the comments here. So glad they ditched the high school setting. This has been the most entertaining season so far. Seeing Norman's craziness develop has made this season creepy and intense.
They've also done a good job with the brother and Norma's troubled past and Dylan has become such a sympathetic, almost heroic character in his concern for the family and Norman's descent.
I've been wondering, if they stay true to the movie and have Norman kill off Norma with her 'lover' if Romero would end up being that person.

My guess is that Norman scared the psychology professor away for good. I'd say there's a good chance that Romero and Norma end up together. It seems like the series has been slowly building to that for a while.
I also agree that taking the high school setting away has helped. I think that has been a factor in Norman going a bit more mad. He's home most of the time now dealing with his family issues or doing his taxidermy and doesn't try as much to play normal.

I got caught up on this show over the past few days. I agree with others, Farmiga has been great this season and it would be a shame if she doesn't get an Emmy nod. She got a Emmy in 2013, but was snubbed last year. Season 2 of Bates Motel wasn't that great. This season has been good. Freddie Highmore's acting has improved, but I don't see him getting an Emmy nod.
