Synopsis:

Bart's tall tale about not being involved in a bulldozer accident is a doozy, but a skeptical Marge decides to dog him all over the place until he 'fesses up. Meanwhile, Flanders gets a new dog which leads Homer to overlook Santa's Little Helper.

I liked tonight's episode a lot. Pretty simple plot but it worked well and there were some good bits. I liked Homer and Lisa muttering to themselves about each other when he was trying to cheer her up. The skateboard scene that played out like the scene in the opening credits with what sounded like the video game music playing and Moe telling everyone they could all go back inside after he passed by . The diorama Bart made to show Milhouse his plan was good too just because of all the little details he added.

This was an amazing episode. This season has been one of the best in years. Tons of great sight gags, funny lines, and a lot of heart. Classic Simpsons.



I died at that part.

Loved the spoof of the opening and Moe saying they could all go back inside. And I also got a kick out of Ned saying, "Property of Ned Flanders? That means you got this from Homer!"

For the people that don't pay attention to these things, it was announced this week that Fox has stopped production of new DVD and Blu-ray sets for The Simpsons. Welcome to the streaming future, unfortunately.

I've always like the commentaries on the sets, so that stinks there won't be anymore coming out. Al Jean said somewhere he hopes to include them on the Simpsons streaming site, but I'd rather have the physical discs. Boo FOX.

Maggie getting popped by the Whack-A-Mole and her response... I was laughing hard at that.

Having now seen the episode, I thought the plot was classic Simpsons. It felt like a real throwback in terms of plotting and style to the very early seasons, like seasons two and three. They've moved away in the past season from the random Family Guy-style humor.

I liked the joke Bart said about cable news announcers.

I guess no box set when the series ends though it would be really expensive.

What could they possibly say about some of the turds they've squeezed out over the last several seasons?
