10 episode 5th season
The show was already renewed through season 6
Beware that episodes 1 through 4 apparently leaked via a stolen screener. This thread is for talking about episodes after they officially air on HBO. Please absolutely refrain from posting any type of spoilers.

It's not just the screener leak that got out early, because Season 5 episode 1 was shown by HBO in some theaters a couple of weeks ago. (For example, this season's premiere episode was shown on the big screen at the Atlanta Film Festival back on March 29th.)

Isn't this allegedly the most illegally watched series in history? Do they have a live stream feed set-up on HBO Now? I'm holding onto cable for tonight's ep., but also have Apple TV and eventually want to use it, I just have a feeling the server won't be able to handle everything tonight, so I have a backup plan.

Excited for the premier, but I'm kinda pissed about the leak. I'm pretty sure I have the patience to wait a week on each episode (the show works better that way than binging anyways), but I know a lot of people won't have that patience and that I somehow will get spoiled, and/or these assholes will hold having seen these episodes early over my head, as if that makes them special, kinda like the book readers have done.

I guess 4 episodes have already leaked on the torrent sites.

I really hope the stupidity of the Brienne-Hound scene from last season's Finale is addressed. When I first saw it upon its original airing I found the whole meet random and highly unlikely but at least it lead to a pretty cool fight. Having rewatched the whole season this past week the scene just pisses me off to no end, how DnD decided to just invent a sword fight at the expense of character. Brienne has long been a favorite of mine and how she handled that situation was just idiotic and uncharacteristic. Forcing Arya to go with her against her will? Come on.

It's standard practice to send reviewers a batch of episodes so they can give a proper review for the season. It wouldn't be fair to judge a whole season on just the first episode.

One of the weird timeline things in the show was that it was Fall 2010 and they were what, undergrads (judging by the language classes they were taking)? And probably freshmen at that, considering they were actually sharing a room. Unless they were in Law School at that time, and were still roommates, but I don't think that would be as common.

Why does this need to be "reviewed"? "I liked all the other seasons, but before I watch this one I need validation from some random writer on a website!"

How does HBO not realize that the most pirated show on TV is going to end up on line??????

Because it usually doesn't. But with that, this doesn't matter that much, maybe some spoilers but everybody still has to wait 4 weeks for a new episode regardless.

That's what I was wondering. This is the 5th season of the most popular show on TV. To even have review copies, much less 4 episodes is idiotic. It's like they leaked them on purpose or something.

I couldn't resist and watched all four episodes. No spoilers from me. I don't know what they were thinking but I can see one reason why they might have given them four episodes to screen.
