Goddamn it, is it just a given that a Lance has to hate the arrow at any given time when another Lance has a decent relationship with him?

Re: Arrow (S3E16) -- "The Offer" -- 3/18/15

What exactly is he hooking his arrow to and where is he going? Up and away to the...sky. If is supposedly that street lamp, is he just going to hang there until Lance get's bored and walks away? Lance breaks out a box of donuts and just sits there watching him. He just hangs there looking back. They both check their watches. 5 hours later, Lance says "screw you arrow, I'm going home". Ollie slowly lowers himself back down and runs off to find his arrow-cycle, which some punk has slashed the tires of by now.

I was thinking to myself, "Man, they gave Green Arrow the ability to fly. So that is why he said he had seen incredible, fantastic things." That was the goofiest exit ever as he disappeared into the night.

I thought this episode was a return to form and Felicity was looking particularly good for whatever reason.

That wasn't the first time he has hooked into nothing and flown away.

I am getting close to giving this show up. It is downbeat and quite honestly boring quite a lot of the time.

Take the offer of Ra's al Ghul, then you can use everything as a force of good.

The Lazarus Pit is a bit more subtle then in the comics. (which is fine)

I think Oliver ends up accepting Ra's al Ghul's offer, if only to save Star City. Oliver thinks he'll be a force for good with its power but he'll end up getting tarnished when the position starts demanding things beyond his moral compass.

That exit made me too. I'm still digging this show, but it certainly has its problems.

Now that nearly everyone knows Arrow's identity, he's got an entire gang of heroes at his disposal, but it's a bit hard to fit them all into each episode. And I still think it's hilarious that Diggle doesn't need a costume for some reason.

All in all, I'm just glad that someone finally offered to train Laurel. Wasn't sure how long they were going to be angry at her for going out on missions, but still never offer to fully bring her in.

Re: Arrow (S3E16) -- "The Offer" -- 3/18/15

I'm tired of all the moralizing from his crew. Get off ass. He came back from the dead and was basically told he wasn't needed and they carried on without him and made it THEIR mission. Now, they can't do the job without him. WTF, make up your mind. And then Felicity tells him this episode that it was HIS choice that they aren't together. Wait a second, when he came back, didn't you tell him that you didn't want to be loved by him? It's just so f'ing dreary.

It makes me appreciate Flash even more.

I'm guessing everything that happens in this season and was shown in the sizzle reel will be undone by Barry Allen.

So anyone else get the feeling Nissa and Laurel are gonna hook up?

It really does feel so disjointed episode to episode. Like, was the show runner just fucking sleeping on the job here.

Would be cool if they really shake things up, kill of Laurel and make Nissa become Black Canary III.

That and we need a shot of Nissa rising from the Lazarus Pit.

This season just isn't hooking me very well. I thought this episode was ok but Thea is really amping up the annoyance factor.

I thought I was the only one that thought that. A lot of eye contact between the two in that scene. And Laurel hasn't had any love interest for awhile.

Why don't they just give in already and call him Green Batman?

My wife and I said that he shot his arrow to space...and it stuck there.

I'm still only watching for Felicity and the fight choreography. The show has always been kinda boring and dumb, but ever since they killed the good Canary, it's lost all the fun too.

At least stupid Laurel is still around, says no one.

Don't worry, it seems that "good Canary" is being resurrected for the upcoming Atom/Firestorm crossover show.

Re: Arrow (S3E16) -- "The Offer" -- 3/18/15

Are they contractually obligated to have flashbacks throughout half of every season? Because the flashbacks this season have accomplished nothing. A shame because they were well integrated into the main story arc of the last two seasons.

Also, if that really was Shadow, Ollie is a dick of the highest order. I bet she doesn't get killed (again) which means Ollie and his pathological need to keep secrets is all that's keeping Slade a psycho.

Oh and I get Ra's wearing the costume to make Ollie look like a killer again. However, did he really have to wear an exact replica of Ollie's current costume (down to the stitching on the hood and the quiver emblem that Barry added to the new costume)? It just seems far too unlikely (yes, in a show where there are Lazarus Pits) and would have been more acceptable if he was simply wearing a green League of Assassin's costume.

Re: Arrow (S3E16) -- "The Offer" -- 3/18/15

They needed flashbacks in the beginning because Oliver in the present was on his own operating as Green Arrow, most of the action was shown in the flashbacks. Now that they have a huge, current cast of superhero type characters needing to see action, the flashbacks become completely irrelevant for the purposes of an hour-long episode. The producers need to drop the flashbacks or expand them to other characters beyond Oliver.

The only time I ever thought the flashbacks added to Arrow were during season two, when you had Slade going crazy and Sara was with Oliver on the boat.
