The Detective will get more interesting once he finds out the truth.

Great seeing Cliff from Veronica Mars! Always loved his character, who was very similar to Johnny Frost.

I have to admit I was disappointed when we found out that Liv imagined confessing to Major. I'd love to see how that story played out.

Really love the show, but do not like Babineaux. He lacks any emotion. Not sure if it's how the role is written, but I wish there was someone more dynamic playing him.

Babineaux is definately the weak link. Very poor actor and for someone (Rob Thomas) who usually excels at casting overall, really duffed this one. Although he messed up with Duncan Kane on VM too so maybe I am wrong. At least they quickly toned down his screen time. Come to think of it hasn't Babineaux been in the background for a lot of the past few eps?

They really got me with that in this episode too. I knew we couldn't trust her brains & thought that things were going too perfect with her and Major, but alas, still fell for it.

I think this was a very strong episode. It was helped by having the case of the week directly tie into everything else going on. The next 2 weeks should be good tv.

They didn't really fool me. I suspected the weatherman pretty quickly, but didn't really think Major wasn't real until the second comment about him being such a great house guest, for cleaning up after himself. And then during the confession I was like no way this is real. After that I was actually wondering if she was going to say something to the real Major assuming he knew her secret and it would blow up in her face.

Must admit I didn't see the weatherman being in her head until right before the reveal. Should be interesting how the remaining two episodes pan out. I've a feeling we'll either see Major fully in on the secret or becoming a zombie himself by season's end.

Wish we would have seen CHEERLEADER Liv for the entire episode, so was so Preppy.

Yeah, the personality changes are fun, a bit hammy and inconsistent but still fun.

It still throws me off when I hear her during promos and she has an accent. How do these damn foreigners get our accents so perfect?

When she was in the kitchen fight scene with the other zombie, there was a clear shot where you could see her dark roots under her wig. Oops.

I was enjoying the dialogue from the teenagers in this episode.

Interesting turn with Peyton now finding out and taking off. I wonder when Babineaux and Major find out. I think next episode is the season finale, so I can see them finding out at the end of the episode as a cliffhanger.

Well, Aly M said this was Peyton's last show of the year so it will be interesting to see if she's back next year. She's still listed as a guest star. Prior to the last couple of weeks, I think they could have just eliminated that character, but since they've now incorporated her into the storyline I hope she comes back next year.

That finale felt very rushed. A lot of stuff went down, but I didn't really feel invested in any of it. The scene with Major in bed talking to Liv felt so unnatural that I thought it might be a dream.

I don't know if I'll be back next season.

I liked the final. I guess it was a little rushed though.

I could have sworn that a couple episodes back there was a scene where Liv was telling Major she's a zombie, and a couple scenes later is when he came in with the yellow bags and said he was killing all the zombies, which was confusing at the time. Since then, it's gotten more confusing to the point where it seemed like he didn't know, and in this last episode, he's supposedly finding out for the first time. Did I miss or misinterpret something?

Yes, Liv was eating crazy brains at the time, and she imagined the entire zombie reveal conversation. Just like she imagined hanging out with the TV weatherman.

Really enjoyed the last couple of episodes.

Re: iZombie (CW) - Season 1 Thread - From creator Rob Thomas - premieres 3/17/15

I loved the finale. I like that this show isn't afraid to move the story along, and doesn't really just get caught up in the case of the week.

The entire sequence to Der Kommissar was the best. My concerns about Major being too dull & vanilla have really been taken care of. I just want to watch that over & over again.

I hate that the ratings to the finale were so bad. I hope it rebounds next season. It seems set up to be really good.

In the postmortem interviews, Rob Thomas mentioned that when the pitched the part to Robert Buckley, he had the same initial concerns then Thomas told him all he'd get to do by the end of the season.

That does make a lot of sense. It's quite the character arc he had, from the perfect dull lifetime movie boyfriend to the butcher shop zombie massacre.

So why did the head cop blow himself up and put Blaine's name on the wall? Remorse? Did I miss something?

I thought he was just trying to clean things up, and that he never seemed to thrilled with being a zombie so was just going to give himself up & make it seem like he got taken out.

mwbmis had me looking for Rob Thomas interviews, and I saw this -

Speaking of Suzuki, he took himself out and tries to cover up the scene as much as possible. Did he commit suicide to try and cover up the zombie mess, or did he just want to keep it as clean as possible without zombie news getting out?

The way we wanted to play Suzuki is that he was a good cop put into an impossible situation working for Blaine. Every bad thing he did on Blaine’s behalf tore him up, and he simply could not go on working under Blaine’s thumb. He was a good man to his core. The problem was we did lose some of his story in the back end of season one; some scenes that we wrote never got shot, so we did a couple in there. We did get a couple between Blaine and Suzuki, but in a perfect world we probably would have set up that suicide a little bit better. That was the idea: Suzuki did not simply want to go on living as a zombie working for the bad guys.

Good explanation, but that definitely wasn't communicated very well through the show.

Aside from that, I liked the finale though. So Major and Blaine are apparently no longer zombies, but if Blaine wanted to be a zombie again, couldn't he just get infected? And great scene with Liv having to say no to donating blood to her brother. I'm guessing he survives, but obviously their family will be at odds.

Re: iZombie (CW) - Season 1 Thread - From creator Rob Thomas - premieres 3/17/15

I'm going to speculate that the cure makes them immune to future infections. Blaine talked about wanting to be cured, but that was mostly before he started to build his little empire, so it would be interesting if he wanted to become a Z again and couldn't. Plus Major would be a immune zombie slaying mofo.

As far as Suzuki's end, they really muddled that because they had him covering up the crime scene at first.
