A "clip show"? You gotta be fucking kidding me. Did they go over budget on some other episode? The show has been boring enough lately as it is and now this...

Yep, this was awful. The scenes with the Judge and Lizzy could basically be skipped. Only the Red scenes were interesting. Oh and maybe the last 5 minutes but other than that this was a gigantic waste of time.

What a joke! I sat on the couch in disbelief at what I was watching. I was watching a fucking clip show!!!!!
I hope the writers didn't get a paycheck for this episode.
Is this the 90s? In this day in age of OnDemand, Netflix, Hulu, Blurays, and DVR.... Who the fuck needs a clip show reminder??!!
What a lazy piece of shit episode

I assume Tom comes back somehow into the fold. It would be pretty funny if he is revealed as a Blacklister that Red doesn't know the identity of.

A clip show in season 2. That's even worse.
That's like a singer releasing a greatest hits album after two original albums.

I guess I am lame. I didn't mind it that much, although even the clips showed how much tighter the show was in the first episodes. The current structure is unsupportable, they need to do something to shake things up, maybe that's what they are doing. Judge seems likely to be a Red associate.

I thought this episode was pretty well done. Can't believe all the whining about it. But that is how it is in pretty much every thread here now.

I really like James Spader, but like others, I'm really close to dropping this show. I'm just finding more and more difficult to get into the main arc.

watching it now
being a clip show is bad enough, but her spilling the entire operation to that judge has me thinking he's up to something and works for some highly organized international criminal organization. She's giving up way too much information

I think that is exactly what happened, they ran out of budget for a full episode. My guess is that NBC has been checking the declining ratings and wanted a plot refresher for the twisted serialized history for new viewers that may not have seen season one. Serialized shows can fall into a death spiral because they can become impenetrable to fresh viewers with their dense mythology and history.

I rarely over analyze and am good at leaving common sense at the door when I watch. However when Tom got the tattoos, all I could think of is that those take quite some time to heal. It was going to be obvious they were brandy new ones.
